Ada Nicodemou Shows Off Youngself Next to Keanu Reeves in Viral Matrix Throwback

On Tuesday, Ada Nicodemou appeared nearly unchanged but still difficult to recognize when she posted an old clip of herself acting alongside Keanu Reeves in The Matrix back in 1999.

In this video, captured when the actor from Home and Away, who was then 21 years old, the role of Ada, playing a minor character named Dujour or the White Rabbit Girl, is portrayed.

In the video, she appeared significantly more youthful for her age, wearing a modern hairstyle reminiscent of the future, and conversing briefly with Keanu – who is 60 and famously portrayed Neo in the sci-fi action series.

26 years ago, on this same day, ‘The Matrix’ was premiered and Ada appeared in a cameo role as the White Rabbit Girl, Dujour. She shared a vintage video with this note in the caption.

At the time she was chosen for the movie, Ada wasn’t a complete newcomer to acting; she had previously appeared on Australian television.

In 1994, the actress best known for soaps began her journey on the screen by portraying Katerina Ioannou in the television series Heartbreak High.

From 1997, she was a main cast member of the show, and prior to that, she appeared in Police Rescue and Breakers. Eventually, in 2000, she secured her extended role on Home and Away.

On Sunday, Ada and her off-and-on screen partner James Stewart shared a delightful set of photos on Instagram to mark their one-year anniversary, which they celebrated at Mimi’s restaurant in Sydney.

Ada titled her post, ‘Simply wonderful!’ as she shared a photo of the contented couple savoring an exquisite dinner of oysters, caviar, and champagne at the renowned restaurant.

In the initial photograph, the joyful pair are clearly depicted, flashing broad smiles while they stand beside a card celebrating their significant achievement.

In the photos, Ada donned a maroon, strapless gown, with her brown hair cascading down her shoulders.

She complemented her outfit with a Chanel handbag worth $5,300, a Cartier Love Bracelet valued at approximately $19,300, and a Rolex Datejust watch that typically costs around $12,189.

Lately, Ada has shared the story behind her co-stars on Home and Away learning about her real-life romance with James.

In 2024, actors from a soap opera airing on Channel Seven, who portray on-screen spouses, were rumored to be dating after being spotted sharing a kiss on Anzac Day. This was later confirmed by one of them in an interview for a magazine.

On the Mamamia No Filter podcast, the actress shared that she had disclosed her romantic involvement with a fellow cast member to a select circle of friends on set initially. However, the news eventually spread beyond this group.

‘I figured I didn’t need to tell anyone else,’ she explained.

‘We didn’t need a group email, people just worked it out.’

In a different part of the conversation, Ada confessed that having feelings for her TV colleague, James, initially felt strange.

For approximately 25 to 30 years, Jimmy and I have been acquainted, yet for an extended period, no romantic feelings existed between us. Therefore, it came as quite a surprise when I began experiencing these emotions.

For the first time, there was a unique chemistry – an unexpected spark that hadn’t existed previously, which felt strange.

In July, Ada finally broke her silence on her romance with James after months of speculation.

In a magazine interview, she affirmed that she has been romantically involved with her long-term co-star, James. She characterized their relationship as an unexpected development.

She shared with Stellar Magazine that Jimmy and I are in a relationship. It’s still quite new and took me by surprise, but I couldn’t be happier about it. It’s just delightful.

However, she clarified that the on-screen marriage of Leah Patterson and Justin Morgan on “Home and Away” did not indicate an early manifestation of a real-life romantic relationship between them.

After parting ways with her former partner, Adam Rigby, around Christmastime in 2023, Ada started a new romantic relationship, while James concluded his divorce with Sarah Roberts in March 2024.
