Ada Nicodemou breaks her silence on how her Home and Away castmates found out about her off-screen romance with James Stewart: ‘It was weird’
As an ardent fan of Home and Away, I must say, the revelation about Ada Nicodemou and James Stewart’s off-screen relationship has added a whole new layer of intrigue to my favorite soap opera. Having been on the show for over 25 years, these two have shared such a rich history that their romantic journey feels like an epic tale unfolding before our eyes.
Ada Nicodemou shared the story behind her co-stars on Home and Away finding out about her real-life romance with James Stewart.
In a television series airing on Channel Seven, the actors portraying married characters have been rumored to be romantically involved since early this year. This speculation gained traction after they were spotted sharing a kiss on Anzac Day. Later, one of them acknowledged their relationship in an interview published in a magazine.
On the No Filter podcast at Mamamia, the 47-year-old actress shared that she had informed just a few individuals who were her close contacts on set about their relationship before it became public knowledge due to the news spreading.
‘I figured I didn’t need to tell anyone else,’ she explained.
‘We didn’t need a group email, people just worked it out.’
In another part of the interview, Ada confessed that she found it strange at first to have developing feelings for her TV partner James, who is 48 years old.
For approximately 25 to 30 years, Jimmy and I have been acquainted, and during that entire period, I didn’t feel any romantic sentiments towards him. However, when I unexpectedly began experiencing feelings for him, it took me by surprise.
For the very first time, there emerged a unique connection – an unexpected kindling that hadn’t been present earlier, which was indeed peculiar.
In July, Ada finally broke her silence on her romance with James after months of speculation.
The lovebirds were first linked earlier this year when they were seen sharing a kiss on Anzac Day.
Since then, there have been indications that their relationship is becoming more significant, even suggesting a potential move-in together. However, they have chosen to keep quiet regarding their romantic involvement.
In an interview with a magazine, Ada admitted that she had been in a relationship with her longtime acting partner James. She characterized their romance as an ‘unanticipated’ turn of events.
She shared with Stellar Magazine that Jimmy and I are currently a couple. It’s still fairly new, quite sudden, and I couldn’t be happier about it – it’s absolutely delightful!
However, she clarified that the on-screen marriage between Leah Patterson and Justin Morgan in Home And Away did not imply a blossoming real-life relationship between the actors portraying them.
Last year, around Christmas time, Ada ended things with her former partner, Adam Rigby, and James divorced Sarah Roberts in March. Shortly after these events, the two of them started dating.
