She became a well-known celebrity in the 1980s thanks to her role in a popular Australian film.
The actress became internationally famous for her role as a brave journalist who faced danger in the Australian wilderness, including waters filled with crocodiles.
The stunning 28-year-old actress quickly won over audiences, especially with her undeniable connection to her co-star in a particularly famous rescue scene from the movie.
Their on-screen chemistry blossomed into a real-life romance, and they eventually married. However, the relationship caused a scandal because he was almost twenty years her senior and still married to someone else when they first connected.
Although she became famous quickly, she ended up appearing in several movies she later described as low-quality and cheap before deciding to leave Hollywood altogether.
The former celebrity now enjoys a much more peaceful life in California. She’s even managed to go unnoticed while out and about in Montecito, a town where she previously resided with her well-known former spouse. Any ideas who it could be?
The mystery woman is none other than Crocodile Dundee star Linda Kozlowski!
Sixty-eight-year-old Kozlowski was seen without makeup while spending a day in Montecito with her husband, Moulay Hafid Baba, and their dog, Thaddeus. The couple and their Golden Retriever enjoyed the outing from their home in Ojai, California.
After changing her hair color to brown, people in her old neighborhood didn’t recognize her. She used to live there with her first husband, Paul Hogan, from 1998 to 2010.
The couple was seen lovingly attending to their big dog while having lunch on the patio at the well-known Montecito Coffee Shop. They even brought their own water bowl for the dog, enjoying a peaceful meal in the beautiful weather.
Kozlowski was dressed in a black top and leggings, paired with a flowy white blouse. She completed the look with checkered black and beige fanny pack and white sneakers.
She had reddish-brown hair and wore dark sunglasses on top of her head. Moulay dressed casually in black joggers, a grey hoodie, and black athletic shoes.
After having lunch, Linda told her husband – they’d been married for nearly ten years – to drive to a nearby CVS, as she wanted to pick something up before they continued their sightseeing.
Linda loved showing Moulay around the places she used to frequent, and they spent time remembering her days living in the glamorous coastal town known for its celebrity residents, including Oprah, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Ellen DeGeneres, and Katy Perry.
Her life has changed significantly, and she’s now independent from her former husband’s celebrity status.
The actress, who trained at Juilliard and then left Hollywood, followed her passion for travel and launched a tour company named ‘Dream My Destiny’ with her partner, Moulay, who was born in Morocco.
The couple travels the world and lives in a $2 million, four-bedroom, two-bathroom house in Ojai, California.
Linda Kozlowski became instantly famous in 1986 after the huge success of the film Crocodile Dundee. It completely changed her life overnight.
Reporter Sue Charlton became a sensation when she wore a revealing black swimsuit – often called a ‘thong bodysuit’ – while swimming in crocodile-filled waters in the Australian outback. Her bold move sparked a fashion trend.
It was grizzled Aussie bushman Mick Dundee, played by Paul Hogan who came to her rescue.
People on Reddit jokingly claim that many VHS tapes were worn out from repeatedly rewinding and watching the scene featuring Linda’s alluring character in danger.
The 1986 film grossed $328 million and remains the most successful Australian movie of all time.
Viewers noticed a connection between Kozlowski, who was 28 at the time, and Hogan, who was 19 years older and married.
In 1990, Paul caused a public scandal when he divorced his wife of many years, 85-year-old Noelene, with whom he shared five children – Brett, Scott, Clay, Todd, and Lauren – and then married Linda.
As a huge fan, I was thrilled when they continued Mick’s adventures with two more films! First came ‘Crocodile Dundee II’ back in 1988, and then, much later, ‘Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles’ in 2001. It was great to see more of him!
Although the Hogans owned several properties in the United States, including homes in Hollywood Hills and Malibu, they ultimately settled down in Montecito, California.
In 1998, they bought a large and luxurious home—over 8,500 square feet with six bedrooms and eight bathrooms—on nearly three acres of land for $6.7 million. They called it ‘Casa Leo Linda’.
The house was on a private, gated property with lots of great outdoor features, including a dog run, a koi pond, a fruit orchard, a pool, a tennis court, beautiful gardens, and even a tree house for kids.
Their son Chance Hogan, now 28, was raised there and even attended nearby schools.
The French-style mansion was featured in a September 2001 issue of Architectural Digest.
The house sold in 2010 for $5.5 million, but resulted in a $1.2 million loss for its owner. Hogan needed to come up with the funds after a dispute with the Australian Taxation Office.
Officials claim Hogan failed to pay the required taxes on $150 million of income earned between 2004 and 2012.
The matter was ultimately resolved through a private settlement where no wrongdoing was admitted. Hulk Hogan claimed a previous financial advisor stole his money, leading to the agreement.
Paul, who is 86 years old, currently lives in Venice, California with his son, Chance, a musician still working to make it big. Linda visits them both from time to time.
Linda once enjoyed a luxurious life while living in Montecito with her famous ex-husband, but she now appears happy with a simpler lifestyle, living nearby with her current husband, Moulay.
