Actress Selma Blair left shocked as she’s mistaken for an A-list pop star by airport security
As a die-hard fan of both Selma Blair and Sia, I was absolutely delighted by the heartwarming video shared by Selma on Instagram. The fact that she was mistaken for the pop star at an airport is just a testament to how Selma embodies the eccentricity and unique charm that Sia is known for. It’s not every day that one gets confused with an A-list celebrity, but Selma handles it with such grace and humor that it’s impossible not to adore her even more.
Selma Blair was shocked when she was mistaken for an A-list pop star at the airport recently.
On a Friday, the 52-year-old actress playfully posted a riotous video on Instagram, capturing a reenactment of when a security officer at the airport mistook her for the Australian singing sensation, Sia.
Beaming with joy, Blair, fresh from her recent hair makeover featuring sharp bangs, commenced the video by asking excitedly: “Can you figure it out?
Subsequently, the star, having just channeled a style reminiscent of Marilyn Monroe, turned the camera towards the security officer standing next to her, mimicking their conversation.
‘Oh my god, you look just like Sia! Your hair,’ he said.
‘And he stopped me and I was like, “I was with Sia last night for Thanksgiving. We all love Sia,’ Blair continued.

To conclude the short clip, she blew an air kiss at the camera.
On the video, she typed, ‘I adore my pal, Sia.’, and in the description, she also mentioned the artist and said, ‘I admire you.’
60-year-old musician Sia Furler, famously recognized for her large, offbeat wigs, gained widespread popularity upon the release of her 2014 chart-topper “Chandelier,” donning a blonde bob wig concealing her visage in public appearances.
When she’s not donning wigs for her performances, she showcases her genuine hair, sporting a platinum blonde style with feathery fringes.
Her video intended for her friend comes shortly after the Cruel Intentions actress told Variety that she is still in remission for MS.
Blair was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2018.
She shared with the media source that her health has been significantly better following a bone marrow procedure and adjustments to her medication.
She mentioned that her health has significantly improved over the past year, allowing her to return to work and accomplish some noteworthy tasks. Therefore, she hinted at some exciting updates to come.

Regarding her state prior to remission, she expressed that she felt incredibly frail, with a thick cloak of fatigue and confusion making evenings outside an almost unmanageable challenge.
‘I just had no strength,’ she continued. I didn’t think I’d get to feel this grounded.’
Additionally, she mentioned that the significance of her role as an advocate has grown even greater for her over time.
She explained to the publication that it’s not apparent to many just how crucial visibility is for individuals, until they express their gratitude for it.
She went on, saying, “Even something as basic as someone expressing gratitude for being heard – I hadn’t realized how important that would be in the early stages.
‘I never thought people would see themselves in me, but now that’s really important to me.’
