Activision’s upcoming mobile games have raised eyebrows even before its release with sketchy AI-ads
Story Highlights
- Activision is reportedly testing multiple new mobile games.
- AI-generated ads for these games have surfaced on social platforms, leading to survey pages.
- The app store page-lookalike redirects users to a survey instead of providing a game download.
It appears that Activision is rumored to be developing several mobile games, and based on their names, they seem quite ambitious. Unfortunately, the previews of these games have not gone smoothly, as they’ve sparked doubts among fans regarding the quality of the forthcoming titles.
None of the games officially exist yet but advertisements are in full flow
Essentially, Activision is exploring various possibilities for new games such as Guitar Hero Mobile, Hexen Reborn, and Crash Bandicoot Brawl, just to mention a few. The excitement surrounding these potential releases is palpable, but there’s a troubling factor: AI-generated advertisements that seem to be causing some disruption.
Hey there fellow gamers! I recently stumbled upon an intriguing AI-crafted ad for a game called Call of Duty: Zombie Defender on Instagram, which then redirected me to Geeklab’s page. Unfortunately, at the moment, that page seems to be offline. Keep your eyes peeled for future updates on these exciting new titles!
🌟 Exciting New Games from Activision Coming Soon! Let’s Dive In! 🌟
Hey gaming enthusiasts, I’ve got some thrilling news to share! Activision is currently gauging interest for four fresh mobile game concepts by running ads on Meta platforms. To grab our attention, they’re even using AI-crafted art in their survey! Let’s take a closer look at each idea:

It appears that the company has been displaying ads for various games, generated by AI, on social media sites such as Facebook and Instagram. Instead of directing users to download these games from an app store, the ads lead to a survey instead. For instance, here’s an ad for Zombie Defender game.
As I type this, the Hexen Reborn webpage remains active. Upon clicking the ‘Get’ button that appears to be an App Store prompt, it redirects you to a survey page instead. Unfortunately, there is no ‘back’ button available, which makes it difficult to revert back to the supposed storefront they’ve created.
While all the games sound promising, Activision’s use of AI-driven ads makes it sketchy
Discussing the games mentioned, each one offers a unique gaming experience. Hexen Reborn is described as a fast-paced dark fantasy action game that includes deep lore and intense combat. Call of Duty: Sniper emphasizes on 1v1 battles in destructible environments, and it also features the mobile adaptation of the rhythm game series, Guitar Hero.
From the popular series, it’s “Crash Bandicoot Brawl,” an action-packed survival game featuring over 30 players engaging in platforming challenges. On the other hand, “Call of Duty: Zombie Defender” allows you to command a team, construct defenses, and fend off relentless zombie attacks.
A sneak peek at the upcoming Guitar Hero game has surfaced on Instagram, even though it hasn’t been officially posted by Activision yet. The link is still active as I write this.”
In this version, the meaning of the original sentence remains the same, but it sounds more conversational and easier to understand for a general audience.

Activison’s current strategy doesn’t break new ground. They’ve admitted to using AI tools to create certain game elements in Call of Duty, so they might be investigating AI techniques for other aspects of game production as well.
The question of whether these games will be released or not hangs in the balance, but they are certainly facing criticism from their fanbase. While AI technology has made significant strides, it seems unlikely that we’d want it to become a feature in our video games, correct? However, this is all subjective based on individual preferences.
