The competition between streaming services has been fierce for several years, with each platform offering popular, must-see shows. Fans of Hulu will know that The Bear is a standout series, featuring Abby Elliot as the character Natalie, also known as Sugar. Elliot also appears in All Her Fault, a new series based on a book, which is available on Peacock. She recently shared with TopMob a surprising link between these two shows, both set in Chicago.
The new series All Her Fault, starring Emmy and Tony Award winner Sarah Snook, is now available for Peacock subscribers. I recently had the chance to speak with the cast before the release, and Elliot shared how the popular show The Bear influenced filming All Her Fault. Here’s what she said:
We filmed in Australia using an incredible 360-degree, 3D screen that moved and felt unlike anything I’d ever experienced. It was a massive sound stage with a huge projector. One scene took place on an expressway, and surprisingly, it was modeled after the exact route I drive home on in Chicago. It was really surreal being in Australia and recognizing landmarks like billboards and churches from my commute, only to step outside and find the weather completely different. It was an amazing experience.
Isn’t that amazing? While filming All Her Fault, Abby Elliot noticed something familiar – her own Chicago commute, appearing in the background of car scenes! This highlights the incredible attention to detail the Peacock series put into recreating the city. Only people who live in or know Chicago well would have even noticed if the traffic wasn’t accurate. And it clearly amused the Bear star, especially since she was filming another show set in the same location.

I’m so excited to tell you about All Her Fault! You can stream it right now on Peacock, and it’s super affordable – plans start at just $7.99 a month. If you want to ditch the ads or download shows to watch when you’re not connected to Wi-Fi, they have Premium and Premium Plus options too. I just signed up and I’m ready to binge-watch!
Now that people are starting to watch All Her Fault, I enjoyed learning some behind-the-scenes details from the actors. I asked Abby Elliot what it’s like filming another show in Chicago and how people who live there have reacted. She told me:
Working on ‘The Bear,’ even just the second season, everyone was incredibly welcoming. The people in the restaurant industry, in particular, went above and beyond, constantly offering food and support. I really hope they see this and know how much I appreciate them.
It seems like going to restaurants in Chicago is a special experience for her now that The Bear has become so popular and won an Emmy. I’m curious if Elliot has been offered that famous omelette from Chicago fans in the restaurant world – I keep thinking about it ever since it was made for Sugar in Season 2.

Set in Chicago, the mystery series All Her Fault centers around a couple, Marissa and Peter (played by Sarah Snook and Jake Lacy), who discover their child, Milo, is missing. The eight-episode season slowly reveals the truth behind his disappearance. Abby Elliot plays Lia Irvine, Peter’s sister. Though this family initially appears more stable than the one in the previous series, things quickly become complicated and unsettling as the story unfolds.
You can now watch the complete series of All Her Fault on Peacock as part of their 2025 lineup. The show is being submitted for awards, and I really enjoyed watching it! Abby Elliot gave a standout performance and deserves recognition for her work.
