Abbie Chatfield sparked a lot of discussion online after posting a steamy video featuring her boyfriend, Adam Hyde.
On Sunday, the energetic 30-year-old shared a brief video on Instagram featuring her in an animal-print bikini.
During a photoshoot, the 35-year-old lead singer of Peking Duk came up behind Abbie and inappropriately touched her chest, causing her to fall back against him.
The video sparked widespread anger, prompting Abbie to address the criticism in the comments.
Abbie questioned the recent backlash to a bikini photo, asking, “Is conservatism really making a comeback? What’s the big deal? It’s just a bikini!”
Abbie’s post sparked a lot of different reactions. Some people criticized her, calling her actions contradictory to feminist ideals given the sexual nature of the content. Others defended her, saying the clip showed a normal, healthy relationship.

One person commented that some things are better kept private, while another said her actions were becoming increasingly awkward.
Someone commented, “Ugh, I love you, Abbie, but that was too much to see. We definitely didn’t need to see that.”
A further comment read: ‘I find it gross seeing her being fondled. I would rather not see it.’
Someone expressed strong disapproval, saying, “What’s wrong with you? You’re really at a low point.” Another person called out the hypocrisy, stating that promoting feminism while exhibiting misogynistic behavior demonstrates a disconnect between words and actions.
I’ve seen this argument pop up a lot lately, and it really gets to the heart of a tricky double standard. Basically, someone pointed out that it feels contradictory when people speak out against the sexualization of women, but then participate in things that seem to contribute to it. It’s a fair question, and it sparks a really important conversation about navigating those complexities and what it means to reclaim agency over our own bodies and choices.
‘Imagine her kids in the future when the other kids show them this post,’ one more commented.
One person commented that certain things are private and should stay between couples, while another simply said they didn’t want to see it and advised keeping it just between the couple involved.
Some people enjoyed the couple’s bold display, with one commenter saying they loved it and that it showed the couple was very connected.

One fan shared that they’re looking for a very specific vibe in their next relationship, saying, ‘I need that energy!’ Another commenter jokingly admitted, ‘If I had this look, I’d be posting pictures like these too.’
Someone shared a sweet example of a loving relationship, saying it showed what happiness, health, and fun looked like together, and another person wholeheartedly agreed it was a truly healthy connection.
Someone else noted that people will readily watch horrific acts of violence, like genocide, on Instagram, yet express outrage over this very thing.
Someone else commented that they’d prefer this to the constant political arguments and complaints they see online, especially from certain types of people. They ended their comment with a playful jab at their audience.
Abbie and Adam have been going from strength to strength since debuting their romance in June 2024.
She’s even appeared in his shows and inspired his popular song, “Dancing2,” released under his artist name, Keli Holiday.
Okay, so earlier this year Abbie got this *amazing* piece of jewelry for her 30th birthday, and everyone, including me, totally lost it thinking she and Adam were engaged! It was so exciting! But then she had to clarify – sadly, they’re not engaged *yet*. Still, I’m holding out hope! It was a seriously stunning piece, though, and it definitely looked engagement-ring-worthy to me!
