Abbie Chatfield reveals the one assumption she hates people making about her: ‘It p**ses me off’
As a dedicated follower and admirer of Abbie Chatfield, I must say that her unapologetic approach to discussing sex and relationships is nothing short of refreshing. In today’s world, where people are often too afraid or shy to discuss such topics openly, Abbie stands out as a beacon of honesty and openness.
On Sunday, Abbie Chatfield openly shared a commonly held misconception about herself that she strongly dislikes.
29-year-old ex-Bachelor star expressed that numerous followers and commentators perceive her as overly forthcoming, or a frequent sharer, due to her candid and sex-positive stance, according to Body+Soul’s report.
She is often heard sharing graphic sexual experiences on her It’s A Lot podcast, but says it ‘p**ses her off’ when anyone says she is oversharing about her sex life.
She expressed her frustration by saying, “Whenever I’m labeled as someone who ‘overshares,’ it really gets under my skin, as I can’t quite figure out the definition of ‘oversharing.’
It seems outdated and unnecessary to view discussing sex and relationships as either courageous or forbidden.
Times are evolving, which is generally positive. One significant challenge some individuals face in maintaining healthy sexual relationships stems from the lack of skill in discussing such topics openly and with self-assurance.
The public figure mentioned that she typically discloses just a small fraction, about five percent, of her personal anecdotes, taking utmost precaution to omit any information that might reveal the identities of others.
Instead, she clarified that she shares her detailed experiences not merely to provoke without cause, but primarily to educate and amuse her audience.
After Abbie and her musician partner, Adam Hyde, faced criticism for their explicit performance in the video of his latest single, “Online Jesus,” they found themselves under scrutiny.
The clip shows the social media star and her rock star beau locked in a series of steamy scenes that send up the world of internet dating.
The song is for Keli Holiday, a side project for Adam, who is one half of Australian electronic duo Peking Duk.
Prior to the launch of the video on October 10, Adam posted a preview of the music video on the Keli Holiday Instagram page.
It shows close-up footage of Adam seductively licking his girlfriend’s outstretched tongue.
It appears the saucy act was too much for some fans.
As an enthusiastic admirer, I must confess that upon opening my Instagram account, I received an unexpected startle from an image that resembled two wet tongues gazing back at me.
Prior to the video’s launch on October 10, as mentioned by Adam, there seemed to be quite a bit of questionable activity happening backstage.
He stated that we were living the best moments, playfully embracing and exploring one another during breaks, much like young lovers at school.
‘She [Abbie] is a powerhouse and it’s an honour to have her on board for this.’
Adam created the tune with Australian musician pal Alex Cameron.
