Abbie Chatfield in Tears as Albanese Wins, Dutton Humiliated in Shocking Election Night

On a tearful Saturday night, Abby Chatfield tuned into Instagram Live to share her immediate feelings about the tallying of votes for the 2025 Federal Election.

The television figure, aged 29, visibly shed tears during her celebration over Peter Dutton’s declining standing in the opinion surveys. She expressed her sense of pride towards Australians who voted for Anthony Albanese and the Green party, communicating this to her followers.

As a committed supporter, I wholeheartedly believe that this upcoming election holds unprecedented significance for us all. The stakes are high, and it’s incredibly reassuring to find myself in a situation where the outcome matters deeply for our collective well-being. It is of utmost importance that we avoid living in a nation where the prevailing sentiment among the majority appears hostile or unkind towards us.

I firmly think that Australians, in general, are intelligent and compassionate individuals, not unlike the Americans. However, it seemed to me that there was a level of division similar to America, but this outcome demonstrates that we may not be as divided as it appears.

‘We are so lucky to live in the best election system in the whole world.’

Regarding Adam Bandt, the Green Party leader whom Abbie strongly supports, the former reality television personality expressed her disappointment that the Green Party isn’t currently leading, yet she’s content to observe Opposition Leader Peter Dutton slipping in popularity.

She expressed her deep concern about the current state of the Greens, yet couldn’t hide her sense of pride towards Australians because they didn’t repeat the actions of the American people who elected Donald Trump as their president in the previous election.

In the time leading up to the election, she revealed that both her critics and Liberal supporters had harshly criticized or ridiculed her online, a phenomenon known as “trolling.

She expressed that she has never experienced such intense online harassment. She’s been subjected to an overwhelming amount of negativity, making this the most challenging time for her. However, she maintains that it’s been worth enduring.

This occurs shortly after Abbie made the suggestion for her supporters to place ‘Greens last’ on their ballots, as she posted a series of pictures where she was seen with Greens party leader Bandt.

Previously known television personality opted for vibrant green trousers and a crisp white shirt, expressing solidarity with the political group. She later posed for photographs alongside Bandt.

One image captures Chatfield perched on a desk, her arms crossed, while Bandt dons a pair of dark sunglasses and assumes a position behind the desk.

A picture shows Chatfield sitting on a desk with crossed arms, as Bandt puts on some dark sunglasses and settles into a seat behind the desk.

In another picture, she posed back to back with Bandt as he donned a serious expression.

In the final picture from the collection, you can see Abby ecstatically raising her arms and leaping with delight near a Green’s campaign sign.

‘AUSTRALIA YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO!’ she captioned the reel.

‘PUT GREENS FIRST AND THE LIBS LAST! KEEP DUTTON (the goo) OUT WHILE MAKING LABOR ACT!!

‘I AM SO SCARED RN!!!!!!!!! How do u feel rn??’

In the end, it turns out that Anthony Albanese emerged victorious in the 2025 Federal Election, garnering a significant shift in favor of Labor throughout the nation.

As a lifestyle guide, I find myself reflecting on the electoral landscape, particularly focusing on the seats held by key political figures. The opposition leader’s own stronghold of Dickson seems to be in question, as is the seat of Bridget Archer in Bass and Michael Sukkar’s constituency in Deakin. It appears these seats may not be as secure as they once were.

As a devoted follower of news, I had the privilege of being part of the crowd that witnessed Daily Mail Australia become the pioneering Australian news platform to announce the outcome. At precisely 7:40 PM, our esteemed political editor, Peter van Onselen, courageously made the prediction.

At that point, he stated that it would be impossible for the Coalition to emerge victorious in the election based solely on these preliminary results.

‘Certainly not with a majority of their own, but even in minority.

Although it’s premature to determine if the Coalition will overtake Labor’s majority, it’s clear that Anthony Albanese has emerged victorious in this election.

Regardless of significant shifts towards the Coalition in early voting, it’s unlikely that these changes would be sufficient to reverse a well-informed forecast declaring the Labor Party as the winner of this election.
