Abbie Chatfield denies she has had plastic surgery – as a follower accuses her of having her eyelids ‘cut off’

Abbie Chatfield responded to a fan who suggested she had eyelid surgery—a procedure to remove extra skin, fat, or muscle from the upper eyelids.

The 30-year-old celebrity addressed rumors in a video posted to her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, stating she had not undergone the procedure.

Someone noticed a line near Abbie’s eyelid and suggested it might be from surgery, but Abbie explained it was simply a skin condition or broken blood vessels.

Abbie shared a comment she received from someone online, which pointed out she’d likely had an upper eyelid surgery, saying, ‘I know an upper bleph scar when I see one.’

Abbie explained, while pointing to her eyelid from bed, that she was experiencing dermatitis and broken capillaries. She was addressing her partner, Adam Hyde.

“I didn’t get an eyelid surgery, did I?” she asked her boyfriend. He laughed and asked her what she meant by ‘bleph’.

‘It’s when you get your eyelids cut off,’ Abbie explained.

The former Bachelor star has been open in the past about the cosmetic procedures she has received.

In January 2024, Abbie shared that she was conflicted, finding it hard to reconcile her personal self-worth with her political beliefs.

Speaking on her It’s A Lot podcast, Abbie talked about her desire to get a nose job.

‘I’ve been scared to even mention this,’ she said.

I’m facing a bit of a personal conflict, especially as someone who identifies as a feminist. I naturally have very little cartilage and bone between my eyes, so I get filler injections to help straighten the bridge of my nose.

She wondered aloud if she should get a nose job, but admitted her main hesitation wasn’t about the procedure itself. She felt it didn’t align with her feminist values or an inclusive worldview.

I realize plastic surgery isn’t automatically a feminist act, and if I didn’t think about my appearance at all, I wouldn’t be considering it. That’s just my take, based on everything I’ve read and heard about this topic from a feminist perspective.

She explained that she feels constantly under scrutiny, stating, ‘I’m not isolated from the world; it’s like I’m living in a highly monitored environment where I’m filmed from every direction.’

Afterward, her producer told Abbie that true feminism doesn’t involve dictating choices for women. Abbie immediately responded with a sarcastic, ‘Does that mean I should go ahead and schedule it?’

I remember when Abbie first got a non-surgical nose job back in 2020! She shared that she’d had dermal fillers injected into the bridge of her nose to subtly change its shape, and I thought it looked fantastic.

She got the procedure done at a clinic in Double Bay and immediately shared the before-and-after photos on Instagram, showing off her results.

She recently shared with her followers that she had a non-surgical nose job. She explained she hesitated to post about it because she anticipated receiving messages telling her she didn’t need it and was already beautiful, but she wanted to be open about the procedure.

Abbie, who came to Sydney from the Gold Coast for the treatment, was very happy with the work done by her doctor in Double Bay.

She continued to express her delight in a video taken on the street outside the clinic.

I’m so happy with how my nose looks now – it’s like I’m seeing myself with a beauty filter! I’ve always disliked its shape, particularly the hook and bump, and honestly, this feels like a completely new beginning.
