Abbey Holmes, a well-known figure on Channel Seven, has faced criticism lately due to her early return to work just seven weeks following the birth of her first baby.
However, instead of heeding the criticisms from trolls, the sports presenter sought assistance from a well-known figure from Married at First Sight for their joint appearance at the 2025 Logie Awards on Sunday.
I proudly posted an elevator selfie on Instagram, marking my arrival at The Darling hotel with my newborn son Brax and fellow celebrity Rhi Disljenkovic in tow.
‘Aunty Rhi Rhi arrived to help with Braxxy during the Logies,’ she wrote.
On the next day, Abbey posted another selfie showing her friends and baby Brax departing from the hotel before their trip back to Melbourne by air.
Rhi also sang a song to the newborn in the car on the way to the airport.

On June 6, Abbey and her spouse, ex-player for both Hawthorn and Gold Coast, Keegan Brooksby, were delighted to announce the arrival of their newborn son, Brax.
On July 25th, as planned, the Channel Seven presenter will resume her duties at work, just in time for the Round 20 matchup between Essendon and the Western Bulldogs.
Abbey uploaded a video on Instagram featuring Dale Thomas and Matthew Richardson, accompanied by the caption, “Alright fellas, we’re back again.
The football commentator is currently working for two days each week due to her delight in being a new mother, and she recently disclosed that her choice to get back into football stems from the excellent progress of her child, Brax.
She expressed that if he hadn’t taken a bottle, had been very agitated and only slept with her, or for some other reason, she most likely wouldn’t have returned for seven weeks after taking care of him, as stated to Seven.
Although numerous people offered congratulations and goodwill when Holmes announced her return to work, a few remarks labeled her as ‘self-centered’.
One user posted, “Seven weeks. Why not take care of the little bundle of happiness and see it bloom.
Another added, ‘In child care at our expense no doubt.’

In response, the Abbey countered the remarks by clarifying her eagerness for another opportunity on camera.
As a devoted admirer, let me express that my endeavors hold immense significance to me. To be completely honest, I can’t help but adore the tasks I engage in every day. There’s an extraordinary sense of fulfillment, almost as if it’s not work at all, but rather a cherished passion that I am fortunate enough to pursue.
It’s true that some individuals believe they can dictate your actions and methods, but this isn’t typically how things work.
She also blasted those who had criticised her husband, Keegan, who she dubbed a ‘super dad’.
[Someone said:] ‘Dad’s taking care of the kids tonight.’ She corrected, ‘Dads don’t just babysit; they are half of the parenting team.’
‘That’s one thing that really gets to me.’
On Sunday evening, I couldn’t contain my excitement as I found myself standing before the red carpet, where the enchanting Holmes graced us with her presence at the Logie Awards. Her radiance was undeniable as she donned a shimmering grey gown that seemed to dance under the spotlight.
