Aaron Taylor-Johnson looks unrecognisable with HUGE bushy beard and curly hair at Frankenstein premiere amid Venice Film Festival – after being replaced as ‘punters’ favourite’ to become next James Bond

At the Venice Film Festival’s Frankenstein premiere on Saturday, Aaron Taylor-Johnson appeared nearly unmissable in his transformation on the red carpet.

The thirty-five-year-old performer concealed his movie-star handsome face beneath a large, bushy beard and dark sunglasses. Meanwhile, his hair was styled in tight curls.

Aaron presented an elegant image, donning a well-fitted white jacket, neat black slacks, paired with a clean dress shirt and a stylish bowtie.

In a pair of gleaming formal shoes, the actor donned a sizable wristwatch, having recently secured an agreement with the authorized Omega watch supplier for James Bond.

In light of whispers suggesting that he might take over from Daniel Craig as James Bond, there have been recent changes, with Henry Cavill now emerging as the top choice among bettors for the coveted role of the secret agent.

Since the actor gave up the role in 2021 following the premiere of No Time To Die, several other potential names for the character have been suggested.

As per the latest figures from Ladbrokes, Henry’s chances have significantly improved, moving from 10/1 to 3/1, making him currently the runner-up favorite for the event.

The bookmakers indicated that he was overwhelmingly preferred by the bettors to become the next Bond, as shown by the bets they had received.

Despite Aaron maintaining his leading position with odds of 8/11, Theo James has seen a shift and is now priced at 7/1, which was previously 5/1.

Although Aaron remains the clear favorite at 8/11, Theo James’ odds have moved from 5/1 to 7/1, suggesting he may not be as strong a contender anymore.

It seems that the momentum for Henry Cavill as James Bond is gaining traction once more, according to Cal Gildart from Ladbrokes, even though it appeared to be slowing down previously.

It appears Cavill is well-suited for the part, but will his presence generate enough buzz for the new rights-holders, Amazon?”

“Cavill seems ideal for the role; however, the question remains whether he can create sufficient excitement for Amazon as the new owners.

In another context, I find myself listed as a strong contender at odds of 5/1, closely followed by Harris Dickinson who’s at 8/1. Meanwhile, the charismatic Tom Holland is listed with odds of 10/1, and so is Jack Lowden. It seems we’re all in the running for something interesting!

20 long years ago, I was just a hopeful fan, watching as my heart raced with excitement at the sight of Henry’s breathtaking audition for the role that every man dreams of – James Bond. The memory of him coming so close to embodying this iconic character still leaves me in awe. Now, two decades later, that incredible footage has resurfaced, reminding me once more of what could have been.

In the outdated recording, the actor gave an exceptional performance, attempting to captivate the production team with some of the character’s iconic dialogues, aiming to surpass approximately eight other actors.

22-year-old Henry Cavill, known for his role as Superman, casually donned a leather jacket and pushed his dark brown hair backwards. Gazing off into the distance, he coolly uttered, “Bond, James Bond,” followed by a request for a “vodka martini… shaken, not stirred.”

At age 22, Henry Cavill, famed as Superman, exuded nonchalance in his leather coat and with sleeked-back dark brown hair. Looking out into the distance, he said, “Bond, James Bond,” and asked for a “vodka martini, shaken – not stirred.

Henry took on a similar style to Pierce Brosnan, reenacting the spy character from GoldenEye, yet his portrayal fell just short of earning him the prestigious part.

Daniel went on to play James in five instalments, bowing out in the 2021 thriller No Time To Die.

Over time, the individual who contended for the role of Ian Fleming’s famous character has enjoyed a shining career. Notably, he portrayed Charles Brandon in The Tudors series and played Sherlock Holmes in the well-received Enola Holmes films, among other highly-praised roles.

Martin Campbell, the director known for GoldenEye and Casino Royale, mentioned that Henry Cavill almost secured the role as James Bond. However, his age proved to be an obstacle in the process.

He gave a fantastic performance during the audition. His acting skills were truly impressive. In fact, if Daniel Craig wasn’t around, Henry definitely would have been a strong contender for the role of James Bond.

He appeared exceptionally fit and attractive, with a well-defined physique. He had an appealing and masculine look, though he seemed somewhat youthful for the time being, back then.

Somewhere else, Aaron added more fuel to speculations suggesting he might become the next James Bond, as he responded mysteriously when asked about his forthcoming ventures.

During the global debut of “28 Years Later” in London in June, a correspondent from Deadline posed this question to the actor known for Kick-Ass: “What’s your upcoming project?

He replied, ‘I can’t talk about it’, as he was pulled away by his entourage.

Some saw the curt response as a hint that his next project could be the 007 franchise.
