Actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson seemed to make some fans uncomfortable when he attended the Saint Laurent show at Paris Fashion Week on Tuesday.
The 35-year-old British actor and his 58-year-old wife, Sam, looked fashionable as they arrived at the event in Paris.
Despite his efforts, fans mainly focused on his signature pout and ‘Blue Steel’ look as he posed for photos outside.
People loved his performance so much they started comparing him to Derek Zoolander, the hilariously dim-witted model Ben Stiller played in the 2001 movie Zoolander. In the film, Derek’s position as the top male model is threatened by a new rival, Hansel, played by Owen Wilson.
Someone commented, questioning why the person was posing like Derek Zoolander (‘Blue Steel’) and making a strange, cat-like face (‘mewing’). They then said they were feeling repulsed (‘the ick’) by it, noting the resemblance to the movie character Zoolander.
Oh my gosh, I’m dying! People are not understanding the genius! Someone asked about the pout and the walk – like it’s a bad thing?! Then someone else was all, ‘Why is he doing Blue Steel?’ Seriously?! It’s iconic! And then…then someone said their crush is over. OVER! Can you believe the audacity? And YES, he was pouting, and it was PERFECTION. I just…I can’t even with these people.
Although Aaron was once the frontrunner to become the next James Bond, following rumors he was the bookmakers’ top pick, Callum Turner has now overtaken him as the most popular choice among fans and bettors.
Many other actors have been suggested as possible replacements ever since Daniel Craig stopped playing James Bond after the film No Time To Die came out in 2021.
According to new odds from Coral Bookmakers, Callum has 4-7 odds, making him the current favourite.
Aaron is currently a strong contender for the part, with 3 to 1 odds. Henry Cavill and Tom Holland are also considered likely candidates.
Aaron will be acting with singer Adele in her first ever movie role later this year, as she joins the cast of a new Hollywood film.
Pop star Adele, age 37, is moving from performing concerts to acting in a new movie directed by fashion designer Tom Ford.
Adele’s first ever acting role comes four years after she released her album 30.
This film will be Tom’s first in nearly ten years, and he’ll be acting alongside Adele and acclaimed actors Aaron and Nicholas Hoult.
Deadline reports that a film is being made based on Anne Rice’s novel, Cry To Heaven. The book, published in 1982, tells the story of castrato singers – male opera performers who were castrated to preserve their high vocal range – and the conflicts between wealthy families in 18th-century Italy.
Tom is set to direct the film, and he also wrote the screenplay. His production company, Fade To Black, is providing the funding.
Pre-production has started, with bosses hoping cameras can start rolling in Rome, Italy.
Details about the movie are still limited, but it’s said to take place in Italy during the 1700s.
Owen Cooper, known for his role in the Netflix series Adolescence and recently winning an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor, will also be appearing.
The production is also attracting attention from actors like Colin Firth, Ciarán Hinds, Mark Strong, and George MacKay.
