A$AP Rocky Sparks Outrage After Fans Spot Gun Detail in Met Gala Look Post-Trial
On Monday, A$AP Rocky faced criticism from several social media users, as images emerged showing him carrying an umbrella with a handgun grip at the Met Gala.
Just a few months ago, following his victory in court this year in Los Angeles, where he faced charges of two felony counts of assault using a semi-automatic weapon against an ex-associate, the group made its appearance.
As a devoted fan, I found it incredibly cunning when the rap artist presented an umbrella shaped like a revolver handle, having recently won a court case regarding guns, during Monday’s event.
At the prestigious event themed “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” the musical artist – known to have two children with Rihanna – wasn’t hesitant about stirring up a bit of controversy.
One user made a reference to Rihanna’s 2011 song “Man Down” regarding their partner, stating, “What did Rihanna sing? I just took out a man!
According to DailyMail.com, the reason behind Rihanna choosing to attend A$AP Rocky’s felony gun assault trial, despite initial opposition from both him and the prosecutors involved in the case, was disclosed after the trial ended on February 20.
36-year-old A$AP Rocky sought to protect Rihanna, aged 37, from the pressure of the ongoing court case, according to Joe Tacopina, the rapper’s legal representative, when they spoke with Dailymail.com previously.
Outside the Los Angeles courthouse, the lawyer spoke openly about the case following the not-guilty verdict given to the rapper for two charges of assault with a semi-automatic weapon.
Outside the courthouse following the end of the trial, Tacopina shared with reporters that the concerned artist from F’ Problems explicitly did not desire Rihanna’s presence, as he was exceptionally guarded and mindful of her wellbeing.
In adherence to Tacopina’s statements, I found myself aligning with his perspective. His intention to maintain a distance for her during the trial wasn’t about Rihanna personally, but rather ensuring the focus remained on the proceedings at hand.
However, Rihanna made it clear that she wanted to be there and offer her support to her partner when he needed it most, as stated by Tacopina.

Tacopina shared that she told him something like, “Joe, even if there were wild horses, they wouldn’t stop me.” This phrase is a modern interpretation of the lyrics from the Rolling Stones’ song from 1971.
In an exclusive interview with Dailymail.com on Thursday, Tacopina shared details about the remarkable support Rihanna has given to A$AP Rocky, who is the father of their two kids – RZA, aged 2, and Riot Rose, aged 1.
At the court hearing in Los Angeles, Rihanna exuded an undeniable tranquility, according to Tacopina. He further mentioned that, in terms of emotional support, Rihanna served as a solid pillar for A$AP Rocky.
According to Tacopina, it’s clear that Rihanna holds a deep affection and guardianship for her cherished family, including Rocky.
As a lifestyle connoisseur, I breathed a palpable sigh of relief upon hearing the verdicts, knowing that nine-time Grammy winner A$AP Rocky had potentially been staring at a maximum sentence of 24 years behind bars if found guilty.
Following the court decision, a torrent of emotions from her surfaced. She cried, embraced Rocky, embraced me, and even hugged Rocky’s family, as Tacopina stated. She was incredibly grateful for our efforts, expressing this appreciation to me repeatedly and always maintaining a gracious demeanor.
The Los Angeles prosecutors asked the jury to disregard the significant impact of Rihanna during the trial because there was apprehension that her celebrity status might influence jurors to rule “not guilty.
In the final part of his speech to the jury, Deputy District Attorney John Lewin expressed his belief that the artist from SOS purposely brought her children to the courtroom in an attempt to sway the jurors’ decisions.
In an attempt to ensure my idol, ASAP Rocky, wasn’t compromised during his court date, I felt compelled to take matters into my own hands. I reached out to his lawyer discreetly and expressed, “Even wild horses won’t keep me away.” 💔💗

Lewin instructed the jury, “It’s off-limits to ponder the potential impact on Rihanna and her children. Instead, remember that we each bear responsibility for our individual choices.
Rihanna maintains a humble demeanor despite her significant achievements in the entertainment and fashion industries, according to Tacopina. She reportedly shows respect to everyone and creates an environment where people feel valued and appreciated around her. (Dailymail.com, Thursday)
In simpler terms, Tacopina, an attorney known for representing prominent figures like President Donald Trump, Alex Rodriguez, and the late Michael Jackson, commented that Rihanna stands out exceptionally, just as a diamond sparkles brilliantly among other gems.
Over the past three years, I’ve become acquainted with Rihanna, and let me say, she’s truly one of the kindest, most sincere, and most authentic celebrities you could ever meet. (Tacopina shared this with Dailymail.com)
According to Tacopina, Rihanna demonstrated exceptional qualities during the challenging court proceedings.
Rihanna made sure she was there and offered her backing to her companion when it mattered most, according to Tacopina.
Tacopina recounted that Rihanna informed him to convey to A$AP Rocky that she was on her way and he should handle the situation. He replied, “Alright.
Outside the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center in Los Angeles, Tacopina conversed with the press as Rihanna and A$AP Rocky rejoiced following the declaration of their not-guilty verdicts.

Last Tuesday, after pondering for roughly three hours, the jury made a unanimous verdict regarding A$AP Rocky, known to me as the legendary Rakim Mayers, following the final statements in his trial the previous week.
Prior to his trial, the entertainer born in Harlem, New York, had rejected an offer from the prosecution that included a six-month prison term and probation.
According to the AP’s report, A$AP Rocky would have been required to admit guilt for one charge in the case under that arrangement.
A$AP Rocky rejoiced over the ruling alongside the singer Rihanna (also known as the S&M artist) and their legal team, headed by Tacopina, within the courtroom, and later outside the building as well.
In this incident, it is reported that the performer allegedly fired two shots at his past friend, A$AP Relli, who has been connected to A$AP Rocky since their days in high school, as they were both members of the musical group A$AP Mob. On the stand during the trial, A$AP Relli stated that he was not injured by the shooting, except for a bullet barely touching his knuckle.
According to A$AP Rocky’s lawyers, the bullets the rapper discharged were actually harmless blanks from a fake gun that he had acquired for use in a music video production. Associated Press published this information.
The court directed the jury that, as per the law, A$AP Rocky couldn’t be deemed guilty if it was determined he was acting in self-defense during the incident.
The well-known Barbadian singer, fashion entrepreneur, and girlfriend supporter has caught people’s eyes as she attended various sporting events with her partner.

On various occasions, Rihanna found herself sandwiched between A$AP Rocky’s mom, Renee Black, and his sister, Erika B. Mayers, during their outings.
In simpler terms, during the final stage of a felony trial, the musician known for “We Found Love” brought his or her little kids along.
The influential figure behind Fenty Beauty, the cosmetics brand, was frequently brought up during the process of selecting the jury, sparking discussions about the potential impact of her dominant persona on the jurors.
After the ruling, jurors were guided from the courtroom without addressing the press upon exiting, according to the Associated Press. In his remarks following the verdict, Tacopina stated that the jurors discerned the deception in the case, leading to their quick decision.
The lawyer pointed out that the rapper refused a plea deal offering minimal jail time, as he claimed innocence.
On Tuesday, A$AP Rocky arrived over 30 minutes past schedule for the verdict announcement, appearing visibly anxious and concerned as he anticipated the outcome, according to Associated Press reports.
According to Tacopina, there was a point where it wasn’t clear whether he would be serving two decades in prison or returning home – all before the clerk had spoken.
Tacopina commented that A$AP Rocky’s enthusiastic response to the verdict, which included jumping for joy upon learning he had been found not guilty, was remarkably exciting in a delightful manner.

According to Tacopina, he wasn’t aware of his athleticism. That display of raw emotion was extraordinary, something you all had a chance to witness. To us, it was absolutely mind-blowing.
The District Attorney’s office, led by Nathan J. Hochman, shared a statement on Instagram following the acquittal of A$AP Rocky in the case.
‘Though we didn’t get the result we hoped for today, we acknowledge the jury’s verdict and the trustworthiness of our judicial process,’ was what Hochman expressed.
He stated, “Our workplace continues to prioritize bringing justice to individuals who violate the law, regardless of their standing or power.
Hochman stated that it’s inappropriate for famous Hollywood personalities to assume they’ll receive preferential treatment when they violate the law.
Hochman stated, “Regardless of fame, everyone is subject to the law, and we are unwavering in our quest for justice for victims and the community. Our objective stays consistent: to enforce the law, maintain public safety, and guarantee justice for every individual.

A$AP Rocky is currently juggling multiple professional commitments after wrapping up his legal case, with hit songs like “Highjack,” “Tailor Made” (presumably a typo for Tailor Swift), and “Ruby Rosary” under his belt.
Next month, he is scheduled to perform at the Rolling Loud music festival in Los Angeles, and he’ll be sharing the stage with Playboi Carti and Peso Pluma as the main acts.
In May, he is scheduled to serve as a prominent co-host at the Met Gala, an event where Rihanna has created several unforgettable moments in the past.
Additionally, he’s set to appear in the upcoming Spike Lee film “Highest 2 Lowest,” which is scheduled for release this summer. The film boasts a stellar ensemble cast led by Denzel Washington, with supporting roles played by Jeffrey Wright, Dean Winters, and Ice Spice.
