AACTAs: Boy Swallows Universe Dominates, Robbie Williams’ Better Man Shines
The acclaimed film “Boy Swallows Universe” has dominated at the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards, also known as the AACTAs.
On Friday evening, the performance was a huge success at the esteemed event, which took place at the Arts Centre Gold Coast.
In the Television category, the innovative drama series garnered a remarkable 12 awards, among them being recognition as Best Mini Series and Best Actor for its talented young lead, Felix Cameron.
At a splendid event hosted by renowned actor Russell Crowe, a 15-year-old stepped forward onto the stage to receive his well-deserved prize.
In a more casual phrasing, it could be said that Sarah Snook, known from the show Succession, was awarded the title of Best Lead Actress in a Motion Picture for her work in the animated feature Memoir of a Snail.

In the film “Boy Swallows Universe,” Deborah Mailman won the AACTA Award for Best Supporting Actress, while Lee Tiger Halley was recognized with the same award for Best Supporting Actor.
The beloved Kitty Flanagan was awarded Best Actress in a Narrative Comedy for her role in Fisk, a series that additionally clinched the title of Best Comedy at the AACTAs.
Noted Australian comedic duo, Working Dog, renowned for productions such as movies like “The Castle” and “The Dish,” as well as TV series like “Frontline” and “Utopia,” received the esteemed Longford Lyell Award.

Ed Kavalee and Sam Pan, longtime associates of Working Dog, handed over the award to the team at Working Dog: Santo Cilauro, Tom Gleisner, Jane Kennedy, Michael Hirsh, and Rob Sitch.
During the ceremony, Margot Robbie was awarded the AACTA Audience Choice Award for Favorite Australian Actress, and Chris Hemsworth took home the prize for Favorite Actor.
In a recent event, Robert Irwin earned the title of favorite media personality among the audience, whereas the movie ‘Wicked’ was honored as the preferred film.
In a popular vote, the television series “Outer Banks” by Netflix was chosen as the favorite TV show, and Bridey Drake received the Audience Choice Award for Favorite Digital Creator at AACTA.
In the meantime, screenwriter John Collee received an award for the best dramatic screenplay with his work titled “Boy Swallows Universe”.
Additionally, it received accolades for outstanding cinematography, production design, and sound at the AACTA Awards in the Industry category, which took place on Wednesday.
The other big winner on Wednesday night was George Miller’ George Miller’s Mad Max prequel Furiosa.
