A Working Man viewers compare Jason Statham’s “gripping” action movie to Reacher

In initial enthusiastic reviews, Jason Statham’s latest action film, titled “A Working Man“, is being likened to the popular series “Reacher“.

Under the guidance of director David Ayer from “The Beekeeper”, the film titled “A Working Man” features Jason Statham portraying Levon Cade, an individual who abandoned his esteemed military career in covert operations to lead a humble existence as a construction worker.

Yet, upon the abduction of his employer’s daughter by human traffickers, his quest to recover her leads him to a realm of corruption that was previously beyond his wildest imaginations.

Before its cinema premiere on March 28th, some fortunate viewers who have already watched “A Working Man” have been expressing their initial impressions on social media. One critic even drew a parallel to Prime Video’s successful action series “Reacher.

Bill Bria mentioned, “If you’re expecting ‘A Working Man’ to also be ‘The Beekeeper’, you should hold off until the next movie comes out.” However, if you’re looking for some action packed with a mix of ‘Reacher’ toughness and a hint of ‘Rambo’ intensity, served with a spoonful of ‘Hard Target’ flavor, then Statham and Ayer definitely deliver. This duo is electrifying; I hope they come up with something new every year!

According to Courtney Howard, “A Working Man” is the type of movie we all look forward to: Thrilling acts of vengeance, a rough and tough protagonist with a hint of heart, and lots of excitement. Jason Statham delivers as a relentless fighter, providing an entertaining experience that leaves you cheering. We could use one of these collaborations each year.

Matt Neglia from Next Best Picture finds “A Working Man” to be one of Jason Statham’s most enjoyable action films in a while. He also mentioned that it surpasses their previous collaboration, “The Beekeeper”, by quite a significant margin.

Additionally, he noted that the movie offers unyielding excitement and commended Statham’s portrayal as both ferocious and realistic.

1. Hunter Bolding labeled the movie as “outstanding action,” while Dancin’ Dan in Movieland stated that A Working Man is “satisfying” – though it might not be quite as “exuberantly entertaining” as The Beekeeper.

2. Hunter Bolding deemed the film to be “top-notch action,” whereas Dancin’ Dan in Movieland asserted that A Working Man “doesn’t disappoint” – despite the fact that it may not offer the same level of “over-the-top excitement” as The Beekeeper.

3. Hunter Bolding praised the movie as “superior action,” while Dancin’ Dan in Movieland said A Working Man “meets expectations” – but it might lack the “unbridled enjoyment” found in The Beekeeper.

He mentioned that the nostalgic feel of an ’80s Action Movie Vehicle was effective, despite being weighed down slightly by a storyline that seemed excessively convoluted.

A Working Man is released in cinemas on March 28.
