A woman is haunted by hallucinations of her abusive ex in Both Eyes Open trailer
As a seasoned gamer and avid movie enthusiast who has seen more than a few psychological thrillers, I must say that the upcoming film “Both Eyes Open” has piqued my interest. The trailer alone is enough to send chills down one’s spine, and with a talented cast like Gail Bean, Taye Diggs, and Joy Brunson, I can hardly wait for its release in 2025.
Even though there are plenty of horror films and thrillers yet to be unveiled in 2024, we’re already peeking at the offerings for the following year. Specifically, an intriguing independent psychological thriller is scheduled to hit select theaters in 2025, entitled “Both Eyes Open“. To whet our appetite until its debut, we now have a captivating official trailer available for viewing above!
Back in June 2024, we first heard about this thriller. It was disclosed that Ariel Julia Hairston, known for “The Comeback” and “Outlandish,” had penned the script and directed the film. At that point, production had already been completed in Atlanta. RodFather Productions was unveiled as the production company for the movie, with Oasis Ave Films also involved. Furthermore, Hairston, Roderick McClure, Joshua Ferrell, and Gail Bean were announced as executive producers of the film.
In the novel “Both Eyes Open“, the protagonist Ally’s efforts to move past her harrowing history of abuse take an alarming twist as she starts to fear that her tormentor has resurfaced. As Ally endeavors to rebuild her life, she is plagued by recurring visions of her abuser, making it difficult for her to find peace. To add to her troubles, she starts receiving cryptic, ominous messages, which hint at the possibility that her ex-partner might be nearby and stalking her.
Gail Bean, famed for her performances on TV series such as Snowfall and P-Valley, currently graces the leading role of Ally in the Netflix drama movie The Piano Lesson. Additionally, following her appearance in Both Eyes Open, Bean will be seen next during the third season of Harlem. Joining her in the cast for this thriller film are Taye Diggs, Joy Brunson, Christie Leverette, Tristan Mack Wilds, Michael Oloyede, and Carla Fisher.
When can we expect the movie Both Eyes Open to premiere? It is set for release on January 17, 2025. Just a heads up, this movie will have a limited theater run, which means it will only be screened in certain cinemas. You should be able to buy tickets around the time of its release.
