Emilia Clarke’s sci-fi movie The Pod Generation has been added to Netflix.
The movie, featuring Chiwetel Ejiofor from “Doctor Strange,” is situated in a future where couples can have shared pregnancies through detached pods. The narrative revolves around the characters Rachel and Alvy Novy, who make use of an artificial womb in this setup.
The streaming service has added the movie as of today in the UK and Ireland.
In its initial release in 2023, the movie titled “The Pod Generation” received a mixed response, boasting a 42% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The New York Times described it as a “humorously sharp and entertaining film, albeit slightly unnerving,” remarkably relevant for our era of ChatGPT and AI-related apprehension.
As a tech enthusiast, I’d say Mashable described it as a “witty and emotional comedy that delves into the oddities of technology, wealth, and the emptiness of possessing everything.

Nevertheless, according to a review by The Hollywood Reporter, “Although the film’s hypotheses about technology making nature irrelevant and reproduction a luxury for the affluent are quite plausible, The Pod Generation fails to fully develop its concept.
In this game world I’m diving into, it was crafted by the skillful hands of writer and director Sophie Barthes. Alongside her, we’ve got Vinette Robinson, known for her role in “Boiling Point”, Eliza Butterworth from “The Last Kingdom”, and Rosalie Craig, who shone in “The Serpent Queen”. These talented actresses are joining me on this virtual adventure!
Known primarily for his role as Daenerys Targaryen in the popular series “Game of Thrones,” Clark will soon appear in the Prime Video series titled “Criminal” and also in a Netflix adaptation of Roald Dahl’s book, “The Twits.

In the previous year, she along with her mom, Jenny, were honored with MBEs due to their efforts in aiding individuals dealing with brain injuries through the charity they both support, SameYou. This organization is one that she established following her own survival of two brain hemorrhages.
Clarke expressed, following the receipt of the award, that he had perhaps not fully appreciated the enchanting essence of the experience and the ritualistic aspect of it all. He further mentioned that Prince William was nothing short of charming and made everyone feel completely at ease.
The Pod Generation is available to stream now on Netflix in the UK and Ireland.
