A Very Royal Scandal and more shows coming to Amazon Prime Video in September 2024
As a seasoned gamer and a history buff who can’t resist a good docuseries or royal drama, I’m absolutely thrilled about the lineup for September 2024! With the second season of Rings of Power on my radar, I’ve got plenty to look forward to.
In September 2024, “A Scandal in Royal Circles,” a three-part reenactment of the historic conversation between Prince Andrew of Britain and journalist Emily Maitlis, will be available on Prime Video! Regrettably, the platform doesn’t have many new releases at the moment. However, there are also new episodes of “Rings of Power” season 2 to anticipate. Nonetheless, here are some other options you might find interesting:
- Cómo cazar a un monstruo (international title) -Sept. 6, 2024
- The Money Game – Sept. 10
- Good Luck Guys (international title) – Sept. 17
- A Very Royal Scandal – Sept. 19
- Porno y Helado season 2 (international title) – Sept. 20
- Rings of Power season 2 weekly episodes (finale on Oct. 3)

The Money Game
Release date: Sept. 10
I find myself consistently drawn to documentaries and docuseries; they always captivate my interest. I believe many others share this sentiment! If you’re seeking a fresh addition to your viewing list, make sure to add “The Money Game” to it. The entire series with 6 episodes will be available starting on Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2024, exclusively on Prime Video.
The play centers around student-athletes and the groundbreaking move by the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletics Association) to grant them rights over their name, image, and likeness. This means they can now earn endorsement money while still being considered amateur athletes. Our focus is especially on the sports scene at LSU in Louisiana, providing a closer look at how this change affects them.
As a passionate fan, I can’t wait to see gymnast Olivia Dunne, basketball stars Angel Reese, Flau’jae Johnson, Trace Young, hurdler Alia Armstrong, and football player Jayden Daniels in action! This documentary also promises insights from their coaches and administrators, offering a unique perspective on their journeys.
A Very Royal Scandal
Release date: Sept. 19
A significant turning point in both British and global history was marked by an actual interview between Prince Andrew and journalist Emily Maitlis. Now, Amazon Prime Video is set to bring this captivating event to life through a series. The series, titled “A Very Royal Scandal“, will premiere with all three episodes on Thursday, September 19th.
The three-part series showcases Michael Sheen portraying Prince Andrew and Ruth Wilson as Emily Maitlis. It delves into the events preceding an interview where the royal was embroiled in allegations concerning his connection with Jeffrey Epstein and Virginia Giuffre, according to the summary. The interview will be included, along with the unresolved questions that arose from it, which ultimately had profound impacts on their lives.
In this production, Sheen and Wilson will share the screen with Joanna Scanlan, Alex Jennings, Éanna Hardwicke, and Claire Rushbrook. I’m certainly planning on tuning in – it sounds like a must-watch!
