This week, Anna Maxwell Martin’s new Apple TV+ series, Star City, is generating a lot of buzz. Apple describes it as a gripping and fast-paced thriller, and it’s a spin-off of the popular show For All Mankind. Star City offers a fresh take on the alternate history of the space race, telling the story from a different angle.
The BBC is preparing a moving drama with Jodie Whittaker and Joseph Fiennes. And for those who enjoyed Wednesday, Emma Myers, who played Enid, will return for a second season of her mystery show.
U&Drama has a popular crime show coming back with a new season full of puzzling mysteries. If you’re in the mood for something funny, there are also two new comedies this week guaranteed to cheer you up.
Keep reading to find out what will keep you entertained over the next seven days.

Dear England
Joseph Fiennes transforms into Gareth Southgate for BBC One’s fact-based drama Dear England.
This four-episode series tells the story of how the England manager tried new and creative approaches to improve the team’s performance.
What to Read Next
After hitting rock bottom and with the team’s fans feeling just as discouraged, Gareth makes a daring move: he brings in a psychologist, Jodie Whittaker, to help the team overcome their mental hurdles and confront what’s holding them back.
However, England’s new manager has his own demons to battle as well.
Dear England is available to watch from Sunday 24 May at 9pm on BBC One.

Star City
Let’s explore a different take on the space race, one where the Soviet Union won by being the first to land a person on the moon.
Anna Maxwell Martin leads the cast of a new, fast-paced and suspenseful thriller. Star City revisits the world of For All Mankind, but this time, the story unfolds from the perspective of the Soviet Union.
This eight-part series, set in 1969, delves into the world of the Soviet space program, following the lives of its cosmonauts, the engineers who supported them, and the intelligence officers working alongside them. It highlights the significant risks everyone took to advance space exploration.
Star City is available to watch from Friday 29 May on Apple TV.

A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, season 2
The popular mystery series A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder returns for a second season, with Emma Myers reprising her role as Pip Fitz-Amobi, the determined young investigator, based on the novels by Holly Jackson.
Pip is determined to stop investigating mysteries and concentrate on her friends, school, and her new relationship with Ravi after their kiss at the end of last season. However, when an important witness in the Max Hastings case vanishes, Pip finds herself drawn back into the action.
You can watch season 2 of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder starting Wednesday, May 27th, at 10:40 PM on BBC One.

The Four Seasons, season 2
The popular show The Four Seasons has returned, and you can expect the usual hilarious drama from its close-knit group of friends.
Season two begins in the aftermath of Nick’s (Steve Carell) unexpected death and the news that his girlfriend, Ginny (Erika Henningsen), is expecting a baby.
Although life has changed a lot for this group of friends, they’re still committed to their annual holiday together, and this year they’re bringing a baby along.
Okay, so the trailer makes it look fun, but honestly, things are getting real for everyone. It seems like they’re all hitting that point in their lives where they’re questioning things – some are wondering if they want kids, and others are just trying to figure out who they are now. It’s definitely not all sunshine and rainbows!
Colman Domingo, Tina Fey, Marco Calvani, Will Forte and Kerri Kenney-Silver star.
The Four Seasons season 2 is available to watch from Thursday 28 May on Netflix.

Spider Noir
The idea of Nicholas Cage playing a cool, smooth private detective in 1930s New York is already great, but knowing he’s also Spider-Man takes it to another level.
The comic book story Spider-Noir centers around Ben Reilly, played by Cage, a world-weary and struggling private investigator. After a devastating personal loss, he’s compelled to confront his history while being the city’s sole protector.
As Spidey spinoffs go, this sounds like one you should definitely tune into.
Spider-Noir is available to watch from Wednesday 27 May on Prime Video.

Deli Boys, season 2
I’m so excited about this new show! Poorna Jagannathan, who I loved in Never Have I Ever, plays a really cool crime boss named Lucky. The story follows two Pakistani-American brothers who suddenly find out their dad wasn’t who they thought he was – he left them a secret criminal empire! It’s totally wild and chaotic, in the best way possible.
In season two, brothers Mir and Raj Dar find themselves needing to clean illegally obtained money. They team up with Max Sugar, a powerful and shady casino owner who specializes in money laundering, hoping he can help.
This season of Deli Boys explores themes of both revenge and ambition, with Raj seeking payback against Ahmad and Mir focused on expanding the family’s business.
Deli Boys, season 2 is available to watch from Thursday 28 May on Disney+.

The Brokenwood Mysteries, season 12
Season 12 of The Brokenwood Mysteries is coming to the UK, featuring detectives Mike Shepherd (Neill Rea), Kristin Sims (Fern Sutherland), and Daniel Chalmers (Jarod Rawiri) investigating challenging new murder cases.
With assistance from pathologist Dr. Gina Kadinsky (Cristina Ionda) and the townspeople, the team investigates strange and unsettling murders this season, including cases involving possible alien abductions and a surprising weapon: a ukulele, among other mysteries.
The Brokenwood Mysteries season 12 is available to watch from Monday 25 May at 8pm on U&Drama.
