As a dedicated fan who’s been through the rollercoaster of emotions that was the original “A Simple Favour”, I can hardly contain my excitement for its sequel! With Paul Feig back at the helm, Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively reprising their roles, and an intriguing plot teaser promising more twists than the winding roads of Capri, this is shaping up to be a must-watch.

A Simple Favour 2 has received an exciting update from director Paul Feig.

In 2022, it was revealed that a follow-up to the crime thriller would be released, featuring Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively once again taking on the main characters.

The description playfully hinted that among the elegant attendees, intrigue in the form of deception and violence would likely be present, just as the winding path from Marina Grande to Capri’s town square offers unexpected twists and turns.

Despite initial secrecy about the release date, director Feig has finally disclosed that the wait will soon come to an end.

He shared with The Hollywood Handle that he isn’t certain about the release timeline. Although it’s expected to be released next year, he is unsure if it will debut at the start or in the middle of the year.

Approximately at that time, we might release a trailer, a teaser, or something similar. Therefore, it’s reasonable to expect more specific information about it in the early months of next year.

When asked about potential names for the upcoming film, director Feig didn’t definitively confirm Another Simple Favour, but he did leave the possibility open without revealing too much.

“We’re debating that right now. It’s interesting you ask. I’ll let you know soon,” Feig hinted.

The follow-up to the show is scheduled to debut on Amazon’s streaming platform, Prime Video. It brings back Aparna Nancherla as Sona, Henry Golding as Sean, Andrew Rannells as Darren, Bashir Salahuddin as Detective Summerville, Joshua Satine as Miles, Ian Ho as Nicky, and Kelly McCormack as Stacy.

Additionally, we have some new faces joining our cast: Elena Sofia Ricci, Michele Morrone, Elizabeth Perkins, Alex Newell, Taylor Ortega, and Lorenzo de Moor.

A Simple Favour 2 will stream on Prime Video in 2025.
