A Simple Favour 2 has got an official title and a streaming release date.

As a die-hard fan, I’m thrilled to share that the brilliant mind behind 2018’s gripping thriller, A Simple Favour, Paul Feig, has spilled some juicy details about the sequel – Another Simple Favour – on social media. Accompanying his post was a tantalizing first look poster!

Here’s what he had to say: “I have a little favor to ask you… will you mark your calendars? The next chapter in the world of #AnotherSimpleFavor, from @AmazonMGMStudio, will be premiering as the opening night film at @SXSW in Austin on March 7th!

“And then we hit @PrimeVideo on May 1st. Stay tuned for more details and much more fun!”

In the upcoming sequel, Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively, both stars from the original film, will once again play their characters Stephanie Smothers and Emily Nelson. They can be seen prominently featured on the movie poster, perched high above an outline of a martini glass.

The design of the cocktail glass subtly suggests the beautiful backdrop for the second movie, featuring a serene Italian coastline.

Stephanie (Kendrick) and Emily (Lively) meet up again on the picturesque Italian island of Capri, where Emily is getting married in a grand ceremony to a wealthy Italian entrepreneur.

Among the elegant attendees, also prepare for deceit and treachery as they confirm their attendance for a wedding filled with unexpected plot twists, much like the winding path from the Marina Grande to the town square in Capri.

In the film titled “Another Simple Favour,” we see the return of Henry Golding as Sean, Andrew Rannells as Darren, along with Bashir Salahuddin portraying Detective Summerville, Joshua Satine as Miles, Ian Ho as Nicky, Kelly McCormack as Stacy. Additionally, Aparna Nancherla will reprise her role as Sona in the movie.

In the upcoming sequel, Allison Janney from “The Diplomat,” as well as Michele Morrone of “365 Days,” have been added to the cast, along with Elena Sofia Ricci, Elizabeth Perkins, Alex Newell, Taylor Ortega, and Lorenzo de Moor.

In a press release, Feig expressed his delight at premiering “Another Simple Favour ” at the SXSW Film Festival in March. Regarding the upcoming sequel, he mentioned, “I typically steer clear of creating sequels for my films, but these characters were simply too entertaining to let go.

Another Simple Favour will stream on Prime Video on May 1, 2025.
