A sight for sore eyes… Sharon Stone loses her shiner

A sight for sore eyes... Sharon Stone loses her shiner

As a Londoner who has navigated the labyrinthine streets of this city for decades, I can empathize with Zendaya’s struggles when it comes to driving here. Having grown up in sunny California where right-hand driving is the norm, the narrow streets and opposite-side car entry of London must indeed be a puzzling challenge. However, I must commend her determination to conquer this new skill, as it’s always an admirable endeavor to step out of one’s comfort zone.

Sharon Stone must be made of tough stuff – the shiner she was sporting last week has vanished.

During her European tour that included stops in Cannes, Rome, and Turkey, the actress from Basic Instinct sparked concern among fans as she was spotted with a conspicuous black eye.

On July 31, Sharon, aged 66, posted a picture showing some bruises. She explained that during the night, she tripped and accidentally hit her face on a marble floor while searching for a restroom.

On a Friday, she received the International Icon Award in Bodrum, Turkey (as seen on the left), yet no signs of bruising were noticeable – maybe partly thanks to skillful application of makeup.

She mentioned about her injury, saying, “Even after staying at numerous hotels and traveling through various countries, I woke up in the middle of the night to use the restroom and accidentally bumped my face against the marble because I wasn’t aware of my surroundings.”

As a lifestyle expert, I’d say: “Things are improving, and let me tell you, the knot on my eye has quite a striking appearance now. Just wait until you see the transformation I’ve given to that old marble floor!”

Blue-bloods see red! Why it’s not a perk to be a Lord in the skies

It’s often assumed that being part of the nobility brings many advantages, but that’s not always true, especially when it comes to booking budget vacation flights.

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I’ve encountered an interesting predicament that some may view as a first-world issue: Titles like “Lord,” “Lady,” or “Viscount” on one’s passport can prevent individuals from utilizing online check-ins with airlines such as Ryanair and easyJet. This quirk in the system adds an extra layer of traditional charm to modern travel, don’t you think?

Instead of British Airways, which offers various titles like Mr., Mrs., Ms., and Miss on their drop-down menus for passengers, the budget airlines do not provide as many options.

As a frequent traveler, I can attest that having a title on one’s official travel document certainly has its perks, such as being able to check in for flights ahead of time compared to regular passengers. This privilege, however, is not always appreciated by those who don’t have it. While it may seem like a minor inconvenience to some, I have found that having more time at the airport can make all the difference when navigating long lines and crowded terminals. It allows for a smoother and less stressful travel experience overall.

At the check-in counter, it’s necessary for ground personnel to personally enter their title onto the boarding pass, so it aligns with the name in their passport. This step ensures accuracy and smoothness during the boarding process.

An unidentified woman from aristocratic background shares her experience: “When we fly with airlines like British Airways, regardless of the class we’re in, checking-in online is effortless. However, when it comes to airlines such as Ryanair and easyJet, things are quite different.”

‘It says Lord and Lady on our passports but there is no option for that on their drop-down menu.

At one point, I found myself growing more frustrated by the minute as I sat before my computer for nearly an hour, unable to find a solution to the issue at hand.

After finding ourselves in a situation requiring action, we had no choice but to visit the airport for check-in. There, we learned that we had to continue this method without alternative options available.

If we used “Mr” and “Mrs” instead of our actual passport names while booking the flight, we would not match the passenger information and therefore wouldn’t have been allowed to board the plane.

I express my gratitude that their day-to-day travel doesn’t involve Lords and Ladies, yet I suggest it might not be overly challenging for them to update the drop-down menu options to incorporate noble titles. (First person)

‘And it would at least mean we wouldn’t have to get to the airport hours before everyone else does.

‘It must be the only time when I’ve thought having a title to be a hindrance of sorts.

If companies like British Airways have the option to include titles during online check-ins, it’s puzzling as to why airlines such as Ryanair and easyJet don’t seem to offer this feature too.

From my perspective as a lifestyle enthusiast, returning from a vacation can be quite disheartening, especially when we’re required to arrive at the airport excessively early. This inevitably means spending the final hours of our journey indoors, which seems utterly illogical and counterintuitive to the free-spirited essence of travel.

Occasionally, it’s necessary for us all to choose budget airlines due to limited travel options. However, from my perspective, the entire process feels excessively complex and tedious.

Jack’s killer new role

In his most recent part, Jack Whitehall is not playing a humorous character; instead, he’s portraying a psychopath.

Former student at Marlborough, Jack (aged 36), will make his debut alongside David Duchovny in the Amazon Prime suspenseful series titled Malice. This contemporary adaptation of the iconic Alfred Hitchcock horror film Psycho is said to serve as its inspiration.

According to my source, Jack portrays a character that resembles the motel owner, Norman Bates: He initially comes across as kind and endearing, but gradually infiltrates the lives of those around him, eventually leading to a series of violent acts.

‘This is the character Jack has been desperate to play for years. He wants to do more dark parts.’

Tennis ace Emma is keeping it real

Emma Raducanu, who has previously won the US Open and recently made it to the round of 16 at Wimbledon, is now aiming to excel in true tennis mastery.

21-year-old Emma is learning the ropes at West London’s Queen’s Club. Fans of the old medieval court game, which involves using uneven wooden rackets, include Prince Edward, aged 60, who is deeply enthusiastic about his late-night games of ‘Real Tennis’ at Hampton Court Palace.

The one thing that drives Zendaya mad

In a Disney movie titled “Zapped,” Zendaya rose to prominence. Remarkably, if she considers navigating UK streets, this could be a reality for her, similar to the plot of the film.

After spending her entire life in California, where people drive on the left side of the road, she finds it challenging to adjust and comfortably operate a vehicle here.

When Zendaya, aged 27, spends time with her boyfriend Tom Holland, who is 28 and known for playing Spider-Man, in London, she confesses that she frequently tries to enter vehicles from the wrong side and finds the city’s narrow streets frustrating.

In her recent movie titled “Challengers”, Zendaya shares: ‘I find it quite perplexing. Despite my ability to drive, I’ve been navigating roads on the opposite side. I’m making progress with it, however.’

‘The first step is getting in on the right side of the car – and then also being on the proper side of the road. Streets are also a worry. I’m so used to being able to have these massive streets and highways.’

Big David – and the wee donkey

As a towering figure standing at 6 feet 2 inches tall and tipping the scales at 15 stones, it might not be the wisest choice to win over animal enthusiasts by being photographed atop a petite donkey, that is, if I were known for my love and care for animals.

However, much like David Walliams during his shoot in Malta, he attracted criticism from both fans and animal welfare organizations due to his actions.

As a long-time animal rights advocate, I have seen firsthand the cruel treatment of animals around the world. The story about the donkey in Malta, working to the point of exhaustion, is heart-wrenching and unacceptable. It’s not just sad for the donkey but also for humanity, as we are responsible for their wellbeing. I have written countless letters to authorities urging them to take action against such cruelty towards animals. In my opinion, it’s high time that David and other decision-makers take immediate steps to protect these defenseless creatures from suffering any further. We must hold ourselves accountable for the treatment of all animals in our care, and ensure they are treated with kindness and respect as fellow sentient beings.

Liz loves it in London

Known personally, Liz Hurley and her son Damian occasionally maintain privacy by keeping certain matters undisclosed – their shared London residence serves as a venue for romantic encounters, as they prefer to avoid unexpected meetings with each other’s romantic partners.

Liz, 59, says she and Damian, 22, keep their Cotswolds mansion for close friends and family.

She reveals: ‘We go to London for our social lives – not together, separately. I don’t bring people to the country. The country is sacrosanct. No strangers allowed.’

Could it be that Victoria Beckham is on the verge of filling Martha Stewart’s role as a British multi-talented personality? The renowned fashion designer has submitted an application to trademark her ‘B Frame’ emblem with the intellectual property offices within the United Kingdom.

In addition to adorning her apparel, jewelry, and trinkets, she might also showcase branded merchandise, which extends to everyday items like tablecloths, towels, and bedsheets.

Jennifer Saunders’ new Absolutely Fabulous scripts are being delayed – by her lazy alter ego.

A life coach revealed to her that a lesser-known aspect of her character, whom she refers to as ‘Susan’, is hindering her from fulfilling her promise to produce more scripts for the BBC comedy series.

As I sit here, attempting to write, I find myself grappling with an inner struggle, confessing, “I just can’t seem to dive into writing right now.” The voice within me whispers, “That seems like a daunting task, filled with potential effort and perceived setbacks.” This is my experience, as told by the dedicated follower of the written word.

‘He says give that other side of you a name. So I said as a joke, ‘I’ll call her Susan’.

It’s striking to observe the extent to which Susan seems to influence your decisions, as if she were suggesting, “Aren’t you inclined to simply relax here and enjoy a slice of cake?”

Birds Of A Feather star Linda Robson says Queen Camilla is a fan and wants the sitcom to return.

According to Linda, aged 66, when she joined ITV, she expressed her desire to meet the cast of Birds Of A Feather – and indeed, she managed to do so.

At the National Reality Awards, I was informed by Linda that Camilla indeed had a fondness for Dorien, the character played by Lesley Joseph, and she described Camilla as being mischievous.

The show concluded in 2020, but Linda claims Camilla desires a revival. She and Lesley are supposed to come back. However, Linda states that she won’t proceed without her best friend, Pauline Quirke. She also mentions, “I don’t believe Pauline will consent.”
