A Peter Dinklage thriller from last year has found itself a new streaming home in the UK.
In “The Thicket,” the actor known from “Game of Thrones” takes on the role of bounty hunter Reginald Jones. He assists Jack Parker, portrayed by Levon Hawke, in searching for his lost sister. Simultaneously, Jones is on the trail of notorious murderer Cutthroat Bill, played by Juliette Lewis.
Since 2014, Peter Dinklage had been deeply invested in this project, and finally, in 2023, filming commenced. The movie, penned by Chris Kelley and helmed by Elliott Lester, is a Western thriller based on Joe R Lansdale’s 2013 novel, bringing the story to life on screen.
I’ve been eagerly waiting for the chance to dive into the mystical world of “The Thicket”, and finally, here it is! For a couple of months now, I’ve had the option to buy or rent it digitally from various platforms, or opt for a physical copy. But the best part? Now, in good ol’ Blighty, we can stream this captivating game as part of our subscription service! Let the adventure begin!
You can now watch “The Thicket” if you have a Sky Cinema or NOW TV subscription, which is operated by Sky. Sky Cinema is an additional feature that may come at varying costs with your current plan, while NOW TV costs £9.99 per month.

The movie, starring Esmé Creed-Miles and Leslie Grace in secondary roles, has earned critical acclaim, with a current approval rating of 81% on Rotten Tomatoes based on 31 reviews. Notably, its audience score is also high, at 80%, following feedback from over 250 viewers.
FandomWire praises the show as “one of the finest Western productions in years,” noting that Peter Dinklage delivers a captivating performance. His portrayal of Jones is so compelling that viewers can’t help but be drawn to him. As an antihero, Dinklage dominates every moment on screen.

In an intense and gripping historical suspense film, Peter Dinklage pursues Juliette Lewis in a relentless chase that hooks viewers from the very first violent scene… As described by MovieWeb, The Thicket spares no one in its cold, unforgiving environment, especially those who are weak or lost.
Mama’s Geeky highlighted the “outstanding, humble acting” delivered by its “skilled actors,” whereas Common Sense Media described it as a “stunning” and “powerful” examination of two “intriguing, wounded individuals.
The Thicket is available now to watch with a Sky Cinema or NOW Cinema subscription.
The latest print issue from Digital Spy, titled “Oasis – Live in ’25,” is available for purchase! Grab your copy at local newsagents or online for only £8.99.
