Following a short side story with the film Day One, the A Quiet Place series is now back to its original storyline with A Quiet Place Part III, and filming has just begun.
John Krasinski, the director and star of the first two movies, is directing the new film and announced the update on his Instagram page.
John Krasinski shared a photo of a clapperboard with the Manhattan Bridge in the background, announcing the start of filming with the caption: “Here. We. Go! #Part III.”

I’m so excited to see Emily Blunt, Cillian Murphy, Millicent Simmonds, and Noah Jupe all returning! It’s great that the whole Abbott family is back to continue their story.
The cast also includes Jason Clarke (known from Brotherhood) and Katy O’Brian (The Mandalorian), along with Jack O’Connell, who appears with Cillian Murphy in 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple. Although both actors were in the film, they didn’t have any scenes together.
What to Read Next
While the specifics of the story are still secret, the sequel showed the Abbott family discovering ways to defend themselves against the creatures and their reliance on sound.
Man, I’m really hoping Part III finally lets us beat those aliens, maybe even wipe them out completely! John Krasinski has said this is the last we’ll see of these characters, so I’m expecting a huge, epic finale. It’s gotta be massive!

Following 28 Years Later, fans are still awaiting news about the third movie in the revived series after The Bone Temple. Sony approved the first two films for production simultaneously and filmed them consecutively, but they wanted to see how those movies performed before committing to a third one.
After the disappointing box office results of The Bone Temple, there haven’t been any updates about the third movie, leading fans to suspect it may have been cancelled without an official announcement.
You can watch both A Quiet Place and A Quiet Place Part II on Paramount+. The original A Quiet Place is also available on Channel 4, and A Quiet Place: Day One is streaming on Netflix.
The latest issue of Living Legends, a beautifully illustrated 100-page tribute to Sir David Attenborough, is now available! You can purchase it at newsstands or online.
