If you’ve watched “A Murder in Mansfield,” you have a basic understanding of the case. The documentary trailed Collier Landry on his trip to prison to confront his father, hoping for a confession. As a grown man now, he seeks truth and true resolution regarding this matter.
When young, he accomplished something astonishing. By joining forces with a detective, he played a vital role in solving the mystery surrounding his missing mother and bringing about justice for her.

A preview of the upcoming episode reveals that Lieutenant Mesmore is delving into the mystery surrounding Noreen Landry’s disappearance. Noreen was not only a cherished mother and wife, but she was also well-known by Lieutenant Mesmore due to his friendship with her husband, who was a prominent doctor planning to expand his medical practice. Given the husband’s considerable influence, Mesmore understood the need for caution in his investigation.
Upon visiting Dr. Blythe’s residence, it was his mother who answered the door since Dr. Blythe himself wasn’t present. However, Collier Landry, an 11-year-old boy who is the son of Noreen and Dr. Blythe, was at home instead.
A glimpse into the scene reveals Collier’s immediate response upon seeing Mesmore in the house. He hastily explained that his mother wouldn’t easily depart, something Mesmore secretly understood. This understanding helped establish a connection between them, as this 11-year-old was taken seriously. It wasn’t just a child spinning tales, but someone who could potentially solve the mystery at hand.
