A new war begins in DC vs Vampires: World War V No. 1

As a seasoned comic book enthusiast with over three decades of reading under my belt, let me tell you, the latest twist in DC vs Vampires is sending chills down my spine! The plot thickens with each issue and it’s becoming increasingly evident that there’s more to this story than meets the eye.

In the thrilling conclusion of “DC vs Vampires,” I found myself astonished as Barbara Gordon, the Batgirl, rose to power among the vampire kingdom following the demise of Dick Grayson, aka Nightwing. As if that cliffhanger wasn’t enough, between this epic showdown and “DC vs Vampires: World War V” issue 1, an uneasy truce was established between our kind and the undead. However, it seems like Damian Wayne might be the one to shatter that fragile peace.

As a gamer, I uncover the chilling truth that Barbara has been herding people like livestock, not the heroic rescue mission I had assumed. In shock, I find my fellow allies, Kate Kane and our group, engaging in something far from saving lives – consuming them instead. To send a message to Barbara, I leave one survivor behind.

In the conclusion of the conflict, Hush infiltrates Barbara’s tower and sets off an explosion (it’s uncertain if she lives through it). Just prior to his demise, Hush claims that Damian was responsible. Yet, this doesn’t align with reason. The message Damian sent wasn’t from him personally; rather, it was dispatched by the vampires he let survive after feasting on humans. It wouldn’t be rational for him to send a message and an explosion, would it?

One might ponder if someone is manipulating everyone and desires this conflict, as the situation appears too complex for it to be as straightforward as it seems. The simplistic assumption could be Aquaman, given his previous statement of acceptance towards war to Barbara. He may be growing weary of the truce and aspiring for vampires to hold dominance. Additionally, his past as a king might cause him distress at taking commands from Barbara.

In conclusion, the newly introduced Batman (presumably Timothy “Jace” Fox) encounters a vampire safeguarding an infant. The vampires pursuing the baby’s guardian suggest that old tales hold truth. Although we’re unsure of the details, popular lore and years of exposure to supernatural narratives in literature and films lead us to assume: It’s likely this child is a hybrid, born from a union that should be biologically impossible.

Whoever they are, that storyline will be key to whatever’s happening. Stay tuned to TopMob to find out what it is.
