The upcoming game, Pokémon Legends: Z-A, set in the Kalos region where Mega Evolutions were initially introduced, has officially confirmed that this new Mega Evolution will be integrated into the game.

Today on Twitter (August 21, 2025), Pokémon unveiled a short teaser revealing Mega Victreebel. The trailer demonstrates its formidable acidic prowess, hinting that it will be among the stronger Mega Evolutions in the game.
As a gamer, I’ve noticed an intriguing detail about Pikachu’s Mega form – its bulb appears to be more accentuated on the underside. This unique design lets Pikachu hop around just like we did on those fun Hopping Balls from childhood!

When does Pokémon Legends: Z-A release?
The eagerly anticipated Legends video game is set to launch this coming autumn, specifically on October 16, 2025. This game can be played on two platforms: the upcoming Switch 2 and the standard Nintendo Switch. However, it’s important to note that the game performance will likely be smoother on the new console, being its predecessor.
The initial launch of the game signals a potential shift towards Nintendo Switch 2 exclusives for future Nintendo games, with exceptions being Donkey Kong and the latest Mario Kart titles.
