This Danish crime series centers on Tea, a young police officer who poses as a jeweler to investigate a criminal organization. As she gets closer to the group, she develops a friendship with the wife of a notorious drug smuggler, and the operation becomes increasingly risky.

According to Netflix, the new series follows Tea, a police cadet in training, who goes undercover as a jeweller to expose a dangerous criminal network that authorities have been unable to penetrate.
She had to create a new persona and become friends with Ashley, the wife of the criminal boss, in order to collect vital information. As she spends more time with Ashley and sees how trapped and miserable she is in her husband’s dangerous world, she begins to question where her true allegiances lie.

I was so excited to learn who was behind the story for this drama! It all started with an idea from Adam August, and then Frederik Ringtved and Samanou Acheche Sahlstrøm really fleshed it out as the main writers. Actually, Samanou also directed a lot of it, alongside Kasper Barfoed. And Jacob Jarek and Marta Mleczek were the producers, making sure everything ran smoothly.
I really wanted to make this game because it dives into some tough questions about who we are and where our loyalties lie when things get crazy. Playing as Tea, you’ll see just how far someone will go to do what they think is the right thing, and it really makes you think about how easy it is for things to get morally gray. It’s not always clear who the ‘good guys’ are, you know?

I’ve always been passionate about crime dramas that prioritize character development and relationships. That’s exactly what makes The Asset so compelling.
Netflix has recently added several new shows, including this dark Nordic mystery, and all 28 episodes of the popular detective series Foyle’s War, which became available last week.
The Asset is streaming on Netflix now.
