“A gripping crime drama”: Hit 70s-set noir thriller gets exciting new-season update

The popular crime drama Dark Winds will return for a fifth season! This announcement was made before the fourth season even begins airing this month.

The new AMC series is inspired by Tony Hillerman’s Leaphorn & Chee novels. It follows the stories of three Navajo police officers working in the Four Corners region of the Southwest during the 1970s.

Viewers can anticipate season 5, as production of the eight new episodes begins in March, with the season expected to premiere in 2027.
