Okay, so I’m super excited because Return to Paradise – it’s like the Australian version of Death in Paradise, and it’s really fun – is back! But that’s just one of the things I’m planning to watch this week. I’m gonna give you the rundown on everything worth checking out over the next seven days.
Fans of fantasy are in for a treat with the return of Netflix’s popular series, The Witcher, which is packed with magic and exciting battles. If you prefer something more realistic, the psychological thriller A Mother’s Son, starring Martin Clunes, is coming to Netflix. Viewers on IMDb have called it “compelling” and full of surprises, so it’s definitely worth checking out.

What to Read Next

Return to Paradise, season 2
The new season of Return to Paradise begins right after a dramatic moment from the previous finale. Detective Sergeant Mackenzie Clarke (Anna Samson) unexpectedly hears her ex-fiancé, Glenn (Tai Hara), confessing his lingering feelings… but not to her, surprisingly – to their dog, Frankie!
So, I was all set to leave Dolphin Cove and head to London, but life had other plans. Now I’m stuck here, and on top of everything, I have to deal with this huge thing Glenn just dropped on me. It’s making me realize I still have feelings for him, which is… complicated, to say the least.
Season 2 of Return to Paradise begins on BBC One at 8pm on Friday, October 31st, and will also be available to stream on BBC iPlayer after it airs.

A Mother’s Son
Martin Clunes’ TV series from 2012 is now available on Netflix and has been praised as captivating (according to IMDb).
The story begins with a shocking murder – a young girl is found dead. Her parents, Rosie and Ben, are gripped with fear and suspect their teenage son, Jamie, might be involved.
I’m really hooked on The Split – Nicola Walker is fantastic as DC Sue Upton. She’s investigating this case with DCI Thomas McCleish, played by Charles Daish, and their dynamic is great!
A Mother’s Son is available to watch from Sunday 2 November on Netflix.

Down Cemetery Road
I just finished watching Down Cemetery Road, and it’s really gripping! It stars Emma Thompson and Ruth Wilson, and the story kicks off in a seemingly peaceful Oxford neighborhood when a girl goes missing after a house blows up. Ruth Wilson plays Sarah Trafford, who is completely determined to find her, and she hires private investigator Zoë Boehm – played brilliantly by Emma Thompson – to help with the case.
The detectives quickly realize their simple missing person case is much bigger than they thought, as it leads them into a complicated conspiracy.
Down Cemetery Road is available to watch from Wednesday 29 October on Apple TV+.

Selling Sunset, season 9
The popular reality show Selling Sunset is back on Netflix for a ninth season! Expect plenty of drama alongside stunning properties, just like always.
The agents at the Oppenheim Group are facing a lot of stress this season – but that’s nothing new. The big question is, who will crack under the pressure?
New cast member Sandra Vergara promises a season full of surprises, telling Tudum that viewers can expect some truly shocking moments they won’t anticipate.
Selling Sunset season 9 is available to watch from Wednesday 29 October on Netflix.

The Witcher, season 4
The fourth season of The Witcher introduces a new actor, Liam Hemsworth, as Geralt, alongside fresh monsters and obstacles. The already war-torn Continent faces even more turmoil as the story unfolds.
Yennefer and Geralt are still working to protect Ciri and build a safe future for her, even as they face dangerous new challenges. At the same time, Ciri is trying to forge her own path and escape her past, and she finds herself associating with a group of thieves called The Rats.
The Witcher season 4 is available to watch from Thursday 30 October on Netflix.

IT: Welcome to Derry
Welcome to Derry is a horror series that takes place in the terrifying universe created by Stephen King in his novel It. It’s a prequel, meaning the story unfolds before the events of the It movies directed by Andy Muschietti – It and It: Chapter Two.
The latest installment in the series will explore the unsettling history of the town and reveal the origins of the villain, Pennywise. The trailer hints at a terrifying story where children start disappearing, and whispers of a sinister presence spread among them. How long will the adults choose to ignore the danger when the horrifying truth can’t be contained?
Early reviews, including one from Vulture, indicate the series will delve into issues of racism and wrongful imprisonment. These themes are expected to connect with the story of the villainous clown as the show progresses.
You can watch “IT: Welcome to Derry” starting Monday, October 27th, on Sky Atlantic and NOW streaming.

The Asset
This six-episode Danish thriller, called a “gripping” and “action-packed” crime series by Netflix, centers on Tea (Clara Dessau), an intelligence agent and police cadet in training, as she goes undercover to infiltrate the criminal world.
To get vital information, she has to pretend to be someone else and become friends with the wife of a powerful criminal, Ashley.
You can start watching “The Asset” on Netflix from Monday, October 27th. Also, the latest issue of “Living Legends” is now available! You can purchase “Ariana & Witches” at newsstands or online for only £8.99.
