A famous pop star is the next victim of the smile curse in trailer for Smile 2

As a horror enthusiast who’s had more than a few sleepless nights thanks to my love for this genre, I can confidently say that the trailer for Smile 2 has me absolutely thrilled! The first film was a chilling masterpiece that left me with goosebumps for days, and I can only imagine what Parker Finn has in store for us next.

Here’s the long-awaited preview for one of the year 2024’s scariest horror movies – yes, you guessed it, it’s Smile 2! You can catch this spine-tingling sequel in cinemas on October 18, 2024, perfect for a Halloween night scare!

In the gaming world, I’d say: “I’m diving back into the chilling realm of ‘Smile 2’, a psychological supernatural horror flick that’s a follow-up to the blockbuster hit ‘Smile’. Remember Sosie Bacon’s haunting performance as a therapist in the original? Well, this time around, it’s pop star Skye Riley, portrayed by Naomi Scott, who finds herself ensnared in the terrifying ‘smile curse’. Similar to its predecessor, ‘Smile 2’ is the brainchild of Parker Finn.”

In the chilling trailer that follows, Skye encounters visions of people with unsettling grins after inheriting a malevolent entity in the form of a curse. To eliminate this curse completely, she must summon all her resources. Yet, one wonders if this can truly be accomplished? After all, we witnessed multiple efforts to dispose of the curse in the initial movie, and the outcome was far from ideal. So, it seems we’ll need to watch the sequel ourselves to uncover how events unfold.

Take a look at the official trailer to get pumped up for Smile 2‘s upcoming release in theaters!

In the sequel to “Strange Darling,” Kyle Gallner once again takes on the character of Joel, a role he played in the original film. Alongside Gallner and Scott, the cast of “Smile 2” includes several other gifted actors including Rosemarie DeWitt, Lukas Gage, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Peter Jacobson, Raúl Castillo, Dylan Gelula, and Ray Nicholson.

Given that “Smile 2” is being distributed by Paramount Pictures, it’s likely that the movie will eventually become available for streaming on Paramount+ following its theatrical release. Typically, films from Paramount Pictures are made accessible through digital streaming after their theater run. Additionally, a digital release might occur before it becomes available for streaming. However, for now, your best bet to catch “Smile 2” is by visiting the movie theaters when it’s released. Rest assured, we’ll keep you updated as soon as more details are announced about its streaming and digital availability.

Smile 2 will be released in U.S. theaters on Oct. 18, 2024.
