November promises great TV, with the return of the popular BBC drama Shetland and a new series on Channel 4 starring Dougray Scott. We’re also looking forward to the return of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives – it’s always good to have a diverse range of shows to choose from!
Here’s everything you’ll want to know about, and add to your watch list, over the next month.

Shetland
The popular BBC crime series is back for a tenth season! Ashley Jensen returns as DI Ruth Calder, alongside Alison O’Donnell as DI Alison ‘Tosh’ McIntosh, to investigate a new set of cases. This season, one case promises to reveal shocking secrets and disturbing events within a seemingly peaceful community.
What to Read Next
Season 10 of Shetland will premiere on November 5th at 9pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. The new season will have six episodes.

Wild Cherry
Okay, so I just heard about this new show, Wild Cherry, and it sounds really good! Apparently, the BBC is calling it a coming-of-age story for moms and daughters, which is cool. It focuses on two moms – Juliet, who they’re calling a ‘super-mum,’ and Lorna, a successful businesswoman – and their teenage daughters, Grace and Allegra. The catch? These girls are at the center of some major scandal at their fancy private school. I’m definitely adding this to my watchlist!
This six-episode series was created and written by Nicôle Lecky, who also adapted her own play into the BBC drama Mood.
Wild Cherry is coming to BBC One and BBC iPlayer in November.

The Death of Bunny Munro
I’m really excited to see Matt Smith in Sky’s new drama, The Death of Bunny Munro! It’s based on a book by Nick Cave, and from what I understand, it’s about a salesman who goes on a road trip with his son after his wife passes away. Sounds pretty intense and I’m definitely going to check it out.
Smith, famous for his work on shows like Doctor Who, House of the Dragon, and The Crown, has called the story a moving and insightful look at love, loss, and the unpredictable nature of life.
He described the story as a moving and heartfelt exploration of a father-son relationship, focusing on how they deal with grief and life’s transitions.
The Death of Bunny Munro will air on Sky and NOW in the UK, premiering on 20 November.

The Beast in Me
Howard Gordon, the creator of Homeland, is also the showrunner, writer, and executive producer of Netflix’s new psychological thriller. He’s working with Clare Danes again, and he told Tudum that she’s uniquely skilled at showing a character’s inner thoughts and feelings. He highlighted her combination of intelligence and vulnerability, saying she portrays both exceptionally well.
In “The Beast in Me,” we meet Aggie Wiggs (played by Danes), a successful author struggling with grief after the loss of her son. Her life takes a turn when a wealthy businessman, Nile Jarvis (Matthew Rhys), moves nearby, becoming both the inspiration for her next book and a potential suspect in his wife’s disappearance.
The Beast in Me will arrive on Netflix on 13 November.

Stranger Things
After a long wait, the final season of the popular Netflix series Stranger Things is coming, and it will be released in three parts. Viewers are eager to find out how the story ends, and if fan-favorite Steve will survive. While many predictions are circulating, we know the heroes – including Eleven, Mike, Dustin, and Lucas – are determined to defeat Vecna once and for all.
As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance nears, a sense of fear returns. A final showdown is coming, and it will be more dangerous than anything the group has experienced. To finally defeat the evil they’re facing, everyone needs to come together for one last stand.
Stranger Things season 5 Part 1 will release on Netflix on 27 November in the UK.

Summerwater
Okay, so I just heard about this new show called Summerwater coming to Channel 4. It stars Dougray Scott – you might know him from Crime or The Crow Girl – and it’s set at a holiday park in Scotland, right by a loch. Apparently, it’s all about the drama that builds up between the people staying there. Sounds like a good one to binge-watch if you’re into shows with a lot of tension!
The show also features Valene Kane (known from Blue Lights), Shirley Henderson (Dept. Q), Anna Próchniak (Showtrial, The Tattooist of Auschwitz), Arnas Fedaravičius (The Last Kingdom), and Gabriel Scott (Masters of the Air), and promises a dramatic finale.
Summerwater is coming to Channel 4 in November.

Robin Hood
This new version of the classic Robin Hood story is set in 12th-century England and focuses on the legendary outlaw who robbed from the wealthy to help those in need. However, this adaptation promises a fresh, contemporary take on the familiar tale.
The story centers on the passionate romance between Robin Hood and Marian. Rob, raised as a forester, and Marian, the daughter of a Norman nobleman, find love while joining forces to champion fairness and liberty.
Okay, so I just heard who’s playing the main roles in this new Robin Hood thing, and it’s pretty cool! Jack Patten, who I recognize from NCIS: Sydney, is going to be Robin Hood himself. Lauren McQueen, who’s in Outlander: Blood of My Blood, is taking on the role of Marian, and get this – Sean Bean is going to be the Sheriff of Nottingham! Seriously, Sean Bean as the Sheriff? That’s awesome.
Robin Hood will premiere on Prime Video, with an MGM+ subscription, in the UK on 2 November.

Trespasses
The film Trespasses is based on Louise Kennedy’s 2022 novel of the same name, praised as a remarkably moving and heartbreaking love story. It focuses on the connection between Cushla, a teacher, and Michael, a married man from Belfast.
Gillian Anderson and Tom Cullen star in the Channel 4 drama, set in the 1970s. Anderson will play the mother of Cushla, played by Lola Petticrew, and Cullen is known for his role in The Gold.
Trespasses will premiere on Channel 4 on 9 November.

All Her Fault
Everyone’s been waiting for this new thriller, featuring Sarah Snook from Succession, and UK viewers can now watch it in November. It’s based on a novel by Andrea Mara, praised for its fast-paced twists, and tells the story of a mother whose son vanishes during a playdate, triggering what’s been called ‘every parent’s worst nightmare’.
The exciting cast also boasts star Abby Elliott (The Bear) and Dakota Fanning (The Perfect Couple).
All Her Fault will release on Sky and streaming service NOW on 7 November in the UK.

Maxton Hall – The World Between Us
Fans of the teen romance drama The Summer I Turned Pretty will be happy to know a new season is here, perfect for those who missed it!
This series is based on Mona Kasten’s 2018 novel, Save Me, and tells a classic enemies-to-lovers story. It follows Ruby Bell, played by Harriet Herbig-Matten.
With a third season already confirmed, now is a great time to start watching – if you haven’t already become a fan!
Maxton Hall — The World Between Us season 2 starts streaming on 7 November on Prime Video.

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives
Okay, so I’m super excited because the third season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is finally here! We’re heading back to Utah to see what’s going on with all the drama, and of course, to catch up with Taylor, Mikayla, Whitney, Demi, Layla Taylor, Jen, Mayci, Jessi, and Miranda. It’s going to be wild!
The new trailer hints at unresolved conflicts from the previous season. The big question now is whether the popular “MomTok” community will make it through the drama.
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives season 3 is coming to Disney+ on 13 November.
The latest issue of Living Legends magazine is now available! You can find Ariana & Witches at newsstands or order it online for only £8.99.
