Adam Peaty and Holly Ramsay are enjoying a honeymoon at a lavish resort in Mauritius, costing £6,000 per night, where they’ve put aside family tensions that loomed over their wedding. The couple is soaking up the sun at the exclusive destination.
Olympic swimmer, age 31, and his influencer bride, age 26, are honeymooning at the luxurious One&Only Le Saint Géran, a top-rated five-star hotel and spa on the island.
The couple’s tropical vacation follows a wedding where family tensions became clear. A significant disagreement with his mother and brother led to many relatives not attending the ceremony.
After Caroline Peaty was uninvited to Holly’s bachelorette party, it caused a series of arguments within the family, even involving Adam’s brother, James.
When Adam married at Bath Abbey on December 27th, his only family member present was his sister, Bethany.
Despite ongoing personal issues, the newly married couple has left those troubles behind and is now enjoying privacy in the Indian Ocean.
Okay, so picture this: a much-needed getaway! This couple finally made it to Mauritius after putting their 10-day trip on hold. You see, her husband, Adam – he’s an incredible swimmer, a three-time Olympic gold medalist actually – was competing in Romania, and they wanted to support him first. It’s always about balance, right? Prioritizing both career and a little R&R!
The couple quickly went down to the white sand beach after arriving, and Adam took selfies with some people he met there.
According to a witness who spoke with the Daily Mail, the couple appeared very happy and at ease. Adam was friendly and stopped to talk, and seemed to be in good spirits.
Holly shared some carefully selected photos from her Mauritius vacation with her followers on social media.
Oh my gosh, she posted the most amazing pictures today! First, she was glowing on the beach in this adorable green bikini and a Miu Miu hat – seriously, she looked incredible. But then… THEN she posted one with Adam, all cozy by the pool! I can’t even handle the cuteness. I’ve been screenshotting and zooming in on every detail, obviously. It’s just… perfection!
On other photos from the album, labeled ‘Honeymoon so far with palm trees…’, Adam was pictured without a shirt, enjoying the beautiful views along the Belle Mare coastline in the northeast of the island.
Le Saint Géran is a luxurious resort located on its own beautiful peninsula, with suites costing upwards of £6,000 per night.
Built in 1975 as one of the island’s earliest luxury resorts, the property has hosted many famous guests, including Nelson Mandela, George and Amal Clooney, Rihanna, and the Prince and Princess of Wales.
For a truly grand arrival, guests can choose to arrive by helicopter, with a dedicated landing pad right near the beach. Alternatively, a luxurious chauffeur service is also offered.
Villas on the estate, which is covered with palm trees, have sold for up to $13.6 million, or £10.1 million.
Holly’s father, celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, paid for the couple’s luxurious trip. He and his wife, Tana, have visited the resort, Le Saint Géran, many times before.
Holly told British Vogue her parents covered the cost of her trip to Mauritius as a wedding gift, which many saw as a subtle dig at her husband’s parents, who didn’t contribute.
She explained that they were heading to Mauritius for a relaxing beach vacation, a gift from her parents to celebrate their wedding. She also mentioned she had to let Adam know their honeymoon wouldn’t revolve around a large swimming pool.
Before leaving the UK, Holly posted a photo of what she was packing. It included a Christian Dior handbag, along with a pair of flippers and a snorkel, hinting at her vacation plans.
She wrote: ‘The most chic hand luggage, thanks to my husband.’
If relaxing by the sea or pools gets old, guests can enjoy tennis, paddleboarding, kayaking, or pampering at the hotel’s Guerlain spa. The spa features twelve treatment rooms with marble floors and a peaceful relaxation pool.
The spa provides a wide range of treatments, including rejuvenating facials, body contouring programs, relaxing deep-tissue massages, and complete wellness experiences.
The resort offers a variety of activities, including private boat trips, fishing, diving, kayak tours through the mangroves, guided hikes, and even food tours and cooking classes.
The bedrooms feature high ceilings, marble floors, and decor inspired by the ocean. Currently, a three-bedroom beach suite with breakfast is priced at £6,212 per night, as listed on the hotel’s website.
Dining is equally lavish, with five restaurants, a patisserie and a beach bar.
Tapasake offers a Japanese-inspired menu with small plates, sashimi, soft-shell crab rolls, and premium Wagyu beef. Nearby, La Pointe features grilled fish, burgers, bao buns, and tacos, all with stunning views of the clear water.
Prime, the resort’s steak restaurant, is located in a beautiful tropical garden and has received excellent feedback. One customer even commented that it deserves a Michelin star.
Le Badamier serves up delicious Mauritian food with a modern touch. You can enjoy dishes like flavorful lamb curries, kathi rolls, fresh papaya salads, and hearty dhals – a great way to experience local tastes!
As a long-time fan, I can tell you this hotel in Mauritius truly masters the art of luxury. It’s incredibly elegant, but never stuffy – it feels wonderfully relaxed and comfortable, which is a rare and perfect combination. They’ve really created a special atmosphere there.
Guests can relax and enjoy evening entertainment in a casual setting, with all the high-end amenities and experiences you’d expect from a luxury resort.
The resort’s luxurious atmosphere is largely due to its location. Private beaches are uncommon in Mauritius, but One&Only Le Saint Géran boasts 1.5 kilometers of pristine, white sand all to itself.
Many people thought the couple left for their honeymoon right after their wedding on December 27th. However, The Daily Mail has learned that Adam had already committed to filming ‘Swimming With The Stars’ in Romania, which caused a delay in their trip.
Adam and Holly are looking forward to a relaxing vacation, which will be a welcome break after the drama surrounding their wedding – specifically, a difficult disagreement between Adam and his mother and brother.
Gordon was criticized for seemingly referencing the absence of Adam’s parents in his wedding speech at the upscale Kin House, as only his sister Bethany attended the event.
Guests reported that the celebrity chef complimented Holly’s appearance and told Adam he was fortunate, also pointing to Gordon Ramsay’s wife, Tana, and saying Adam had a similar future to look forward to.
It was claimed that Gordon then told daughter Holly: ‘Shame you don’t have the same.’
You know, I was watching Adam’s speech and something struck me. While he understandably thanked his coach, Mel Marshall – and really highlighted how much Mel meant to him, calling her his ‘everything’ and crediting her with keeping him grounded and motivated – he didn’t mention his family at all. It felt a little unusual, honestly, to focus so heavily on one mentor and not acknowledge the support system he likely had growing up.
In an emotional moment he also reportedly said that he saw Mel ‘like a mum’ due to her support.
Adam’s mother, Caroline, was devastated by the news and overwhelmed with grief at her home in Staffordshire, which is over 130 miles away.
Standing in front of the house where he spent his childhood, 59-year-old Adam told The Mail on Sunday, ‘I won’t allow myself to be hurt this way again.’
Honestly, it really hurt me to hear about Holly and Adam – it felt like a deep personal betrayal, like they’d completely broken my heart. And I was absolutely shocked and angered by Gordon Ramsay’s outburst; it felt way over the top.
Just before entering the abbey with his five-year-old son, George, Adam received a heartbreaking text message from his aunt, Louise, according to the newspaper report.
She wrote, expressing her hope that he would never experience the same intense pain he had caused their mother. Despite everything, she still loved him, and she expressed her disappointment and disapproval of both of them.
On this joyful day, and every anniversary of it, please remember the deep pain you caused your mother – a pain that continues to haunt her.
Meanwhile, Adam’s great-aunt Janet, 73, said: ‘I just feel so sorry for Caroline.
It’s shocking how he’s treating his mother, especially considering everything she’s done for him since he was young. It’s simply unkind.
The conflict began in September 2024 when Adam and Holly didn’t invite many of the Peaty family to their engagement party, which caused hurt feelings.
Caroline, despite driving her son to countless early training sessions, wasn’t included in Holly’s fancy hen party at Soho Farmhouse. The event was attended by Holly’s mother, Tana, and friends like Victoria Beckham.
Even though no one wanted her there, Caroline had initially said she would come to the wedding, but then realized it would be too painful for her.
Had she done so, she would have faced five security guards positioned at the abbey doors.
The Ramsay family has a strong connection to Le Saint Géran resort; Gordon and Tana Ramsay visit every January.
Gordon and his wife, Tana, have made it a tradition to take a special trip together every year. Tana described it as a chance for them to reconnect, saying, ‘It’s like a romantic getaway, and it’s incredibly important to us.’
