With just under two months to go until the release of The Devil Wears Prada 2, we’re getting our first glimpse of Simone Ashley (from Bridgerton) in the new film. And based on the photos, it doesn’t look like her character is winning any favors from Miranda Priestly!
Disney has released a short preview to celebrate the start of ticket sales in the US. Tickets aren’t available in the UK yet, but fans there shouldn’t have to wait much longer. The preview shows Miranda (Meryl Streep), Andy (Anne Hathaway), and Nigel (Stanley Tucci) together in a meeting.
Miranda, as always, was brutally honest while reviewing the new photos for Runway. She asked Andy if the models had been deliberately posed to look like they were wandering around a rundown parking lot, comparing the scene to a methadone clinic in New Jersey.
While Miranda is speaking, Simone Ashley’s character subtly tries to get her attention by interrupting and clearing her throat.
“What? Is anything off-limits? Like, can I even mention methadone or New Jersey?” she playfully asks. It appears Ashley’s character is there to gently keep Miranda from saying anything too outrageous, which Miranda probably appreciates.

The next movie will bring Andy back to Runway magazine, where Miranda is struggling to keep it successful in today’s changing media world.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 is released in cinemas on 1 May.
