The episode opens with Wersching’s character holding balloons and flowers in a hospital elevator, surrounded by most of the show’s main cast who all appear a bit battered.

Early in the series The Rookie, musician Will.i.am made some surprising appearances, which paved the way for other celebrity guest stars.
