Shia LaBeouf arrives in Rome with dad Jeffrey for baptism after being cleared to travel while out on bond post-arrest

Shia LaBeouf was seen in Rome with his father, Jeffrey, for Jeffrey’s baptism. This came after Shia was given permission to travel despite having legal charges still pending.

Shia LaBeouf, 39, was arrested last month for two counts of simple battery following a fight at a New Orleans bar during Mardi Gras celebrations.

Initially, he was released without having to pay bail. However, after the judge heard accusations that he used a homophobic slur during the fight, a $100,000 bond was required. A second charge added another $5,000 to the bond amount.

I was so relieved to hear that the actor from Even Stevens won’t be going to jail! The judge said he can stay out if he keeps getting tested for drugs and alcohol, and – thankfully – agrees to go to rehab. It’s a good step, and I’m really hoping he gets the help he needs.

During the difficult situation, he asked multiple times to travel overseas for his father’s baptism. His initial request was rejected, but his second attempt was approved.

Shia LaBeouf and his partner, Mia Goth, were seen in Rome on Wednesday, appearing as typical, relaxed American tourists enjoying a European vacation.

The actor known for ‘Holes’ kept it casual with a printed t-shirt and grey shorts. He finished the look with socks and sandals, and a pair of sunglasses.

He emerged from a shiny black SUV, carrying both his and Jeffrey’s bags. He gave them to his father, who was casually dressed in a t-shirt, jeans, and a cap.

According to reports, a judge denied Shia LaBeouf’s request to travel to Italy from March 1st to 8th. He had asked to go for religious reasons, including his father’s baptism, but Judge Simone Levine rejected the request during a court hearing on February 26th.

However the second request was granted on March 4 by magistrate Peter Hamilton.
