Vizta Games, which is part of MOONTON Games, has just released a soft launch of its new mobile game, HERMIT CRAB GO! It’s a vertical roguelike strategy game currently available for Android users in Canada and Japan. Details about an iOS version or wider release haven’t been announced yet.
Build a team of quirky characters to battle unique enemies across Siphonia
Building on the popularity of ACECRAFT, MOONTON Games has released HERMIT CRAB GO!, a new vertical roguelike game with a similar feel. Instead of playing as an Ace Pilot, you’re now the Ace Captain, joining forces with Miss Aelita and your crew to cause trouble throughout the world of Siphonia.
I’m a big fan of the old-fashioned, rubber hose animation style – it really brings to mind the look of classic cartoons like those from ACECRAFT. I think it’ll be a lot of fun to build a team of unique, hand-drawn characters – imagine a relaxed squirrel, a moody crow, and others! Plus, you can improve your crew, give them equipment, and combine upgrades to defeat waves of enemies.
I’ve been trying to avoid games that don’t seem worthwhile, but this one seems promising. It’s really satisfying to plan a strategy and then watch the resulting mayhem unfold as a spectator. With its classic cartoon style, tons of levels, and interesting enemies, it has the potential to become really popular, much like ACECRAFT.
The mobile game HERMIT CRAB GO! is now available for a limited release on Android devices in Canada and Japan. You can download it from the Google Play Store if you’re interested. We’ll share more information about an iOS version or a wider global release soon, so keep checking back for updates.
