A new rumor suggests the post-credit scene of the upcoming Spider-Man movie, a collaboration between Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures titled Spider-Man: Brand New Day, could tie into a popular series on Disney+. Fans are excited about the potential connection to the wider Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Which Disney+ show will potentially have ties to Spider-Man: Brand New Day’s post-credit scene?

A new rumor circulating on X (formerly Twitter) suggests that the post-credit scene in the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day will strongly connect to Season 3 of Daredevil: Born Again. The scene is expected to take place before the events of Avengers: Doomsday. This news comes before the Season 2 premiere of Daredevil: Born Again on Disney+ scheduled for March 24, 2026.

Destin Daniel Cretton directs the upcoming Spider-Man movie, written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. The film will bring back Zendaya as MJ and Jacob Batalon as Ned, and also star Sadie Sink (known from Stranger Things), Jon Bernthal reprising his role as the Punisher, Liza Colón-Zayas (from The Bear), Michael Mando (of Better Call Saul), Marvin Jones III (Black Lightning), and Tramell Tillman (Severance). Mark Ruffalo, who played Hulk in Avengers: Endgame, will also appear as Bruce Banner/Hulk.

Fans are still buzzing about what role Anya Taylor-Joy will play in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with many now thinking she might be cast as Jean Grey. This speculation increased after it was announced she’ll be in the upcoming Avengers: Secret Wars movie. That film is being produced by a team including Kevin Feige, Amy Pascal, Rachel O’Connor, Avi Arad, and Louis D’Esposito.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day debuts in theaters on July 31, 2026.
