Olivia Bowen reveals she’s finished breastfeeding her daughter Siena, six months, after painful mastitis battle as she celebrates by getting her Botox topped up to ‘make up for lost time’

Olivia Bowen announced she has stopped breastfeeding her daughter and immediately went to get some cosmetic procedures done.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m always fascinated by how families grow! I’m sharing a little about one lovely couple – they actually met on Love Island back in 2016! Now, they’re parents to a sweet three-year-old son named Abel and a six-month-old daughter, Siena. It’s so heartwarming to see their journey!

She shared on Instagram Tuesday that she was having a wonderful day, celebrating finishing breastfeeding with skin rejuvenation treatments and Botox, saying she was ‘making up for lost time’.

Olivia took a selfie at a London clinic, showing herself with a plastic sheet on her face. She was pouting and making a peace sign with her fingers.

While she captioned the snap: ‘This mumma has finished breastfeeding & it means we’re going innnn.

I’m really making the most of today! I just got Botox and IPL, and now I’m waiting for a Morpheus treatment. It’s amazing to be able to do all of this – I’m having a fantastic day.

IPL, or Intense Pulsed Light, is a gentle, non-invasive treatment used to improve skin concerns like sun damage, uneven pigmentation, redness from rosacea, acne, and minor wrinkles. It can also effectively remove unwanted hair.

Morpheus8 is a non-surgical skin treatment that uses tiny needles and radiofrequency energy to firm skin, lessen wrinkles, and improve texture.

Olivia posted a quick video of herself on the subway, demonstrating the treatment. Her face had small spots of blood from the tiny needles used in the procedure.

The reality star jokingly wrote above the photo: ‘Post Morpheus isn’t ideal for travel, but we’re making it work.’

Olivia recently shared that she has finished breastfeeding her daughter, Siena. This news follows an incident two months ago where she had to call an ambulance due to a severe case of mastitis.

Mastitis is a painful swelling of breast tissue. It often causes breasts to feel hot, swollen, red, and tender, and can also cause flu-like symptoms like fever and chills.

As a lifestyle expert, I often talk to new moms, and one thing that comes up frequently is blocked milk ducts. It’s super common, especially while breastfeeding, and thankfully, it usually resolves on its own. But sometimes, that blockage can get infected, leading to a painful abscess. If that happens, you’ll likely need antibiotics to clear it up. Surgery to drain it is rare, but it’s a possibility in more serious cases, so it’s important to keep an eye on things and talk to your doctor if you’re concerned.

In a January Instagram post, Olivia revealed she’d spent the entire night suffering from a painful condition, which became so severe she feared she would faint.

She said she called for paramedics because her health anxiety, triggered by the difficult experience of Siena’s birth, caused her to become overwhelmed and panicked.

After my daughter Siena was born, I’ve been really anxious about my health, and it got particularly bad last night. I’m so grateful to the paramedics who came to help – they were amazing and truly kind.

Olivia also expressed gratitude for her husband, Alex, who stayed up all night with her and even managed to get the kids ready to drive her to the emergency room to get antibiotics. She affectionately called him a sweetheart for his help.

The reality star has publicly shared her struggles with health anxiety, which began after a life-threatening complication during her daughter’s birth in August.

During an October appearance on her ITV2 reality show, Olivia & Alex: Parenthood, she tearfully recounted a significant blood loss following a severe hemorrhage during her C-section.

Olivia initially planned to give birth at home, using a birthing pool. However, the pain became too intense, and an ambulance had to be called to take her to the hospital.

We had a birth plan, but things didn’t go as expected. I had a feeling something wasn’t right, and after ten hours of labor, I had only dilated to 5cm. Despite that, I was determined to keep going, but then I felt a lump and we decided to go to the hospital.

She explained that her bladder had shifted downwards, pressing on her cervix and blocking the baby’s path, which meant she needed a cesarean section.

I was terrified – it was a major surgery, and not a simple fix, she explained. Seeing her daughter come out of surgery crying was both amazing and moving, and holding her close made her feel lightheaded.

Honestly, all I remember is the nurse shouting numbers – 1.5, 1.6, 1.7… each one hitting me harder than the last. It was the blood loss, you see, and those numbers just kept climbing so fast. It wasn’t just scary, it was terrifying. It felt like everything was spiraling, and I was helpless to stop it. I can still hear those numbers echoing in my head, marking how quickly everything was changing. It’s… it’s just stuck with me.

She became very upset and started crying, explaining that people began shouting and there was significant bleeding throughout the operating room, which was the last thing she recalled.

Doctors kept coming and going, but nobody explained what was happening to me. I felt awful – really sick and dizzy. Alex said I looked like all the color had drained from my face.

I recall being terrified and desperately trying to stay awake, fearing I might faint or something even more serious could happen. It was a very near thing.

I lost almost three litres of blood, which is a significant amount considering the average person only has around 4.5 litres. Realizing how close I was to dying was incredibly frightening.

Olivia expressed her gratitude to the NHS, saying they saved her life, and shared how incredibly grateful she is to still be alive.

She said: ‘The doctors were absolutely incredible. The NHS were amazing, they saved my life.’

Although she stated she had begun to come to terms with the frightening experience, her husband, Alex, confessed he was still deeply traumatized.

Olivia explained to him that she felt she had dealt with the birth emotionally, pointing out they’d managed the 20-hour labor at home, and even suggested he seemed more affected by it than she was.

Alex agreed, saying, “It was the worst experience of my life, and I never want to repeat it.”
