Charlotte Dawson’s son Jude, 2, is rushed to hospital and put on oxygen as she details ‘scary’ night – just three weeks after his last health scare

Just three weeks after a previous health issue, Charlotte Dawson’s son, Jude, has been hospitalized and is currently receiving oxygen.

The 33-year-old TV star described a frightening night after her two-year-old son had trouble breathing and kept coughing.

On Tuesday, Charlotte posted on Instagram about her son Jude, who had to be taken to the emergency room and given oxygen.

The young child recently experienced another health issue, just three weeks after being hospitalized for the same illness. However, his mother, Charlotte, reports he’s now recovering and no longer needs oxygen.

Charlotte shared in December that Jude had gotten RSV bronchitis again – a typical winter virus that causes coughs and colds.

Seven-week-old Jude needed oxygen support for six days while fighting the virus. Doctors told his mother, Charlotte, that he wouldn’t have survived if they’d brought him to the hospital just one day later. He was also hospitalized with the same virus again when he was eight months old.

I was so relieved to hear Charlotte share an update on her little one! She said he was really struggling last night, barely able to breathe, but thankfully he turned things around this morning. He’s actually off oxygen now, which is amazing news, though he still needs his inhaler every two hours. Apparently, his oxygen levels kept dropping, which was so scary. It’s been a really tough day for them, and honestly, hearing her talk about it just breaks my heart.

He was really sick last night, coughing a lot and it was frightening. He normally sleeps well in his own bed, but he kept waking up screaming for me, so I brought him into my room. He told me he couldn’t breathe, couldn’t lie down, and that his chest hurt.

He eventually fell asleep, but woke up at six in the morning, and I immediately knew something was wrong. I thought, “I need to call emergency services.” Thankfully, they sent an ambulance with lights and sirens, and took him to the hospital right away.

I was so worried about him. Charlotte explained that he was looking terribly unwell – his color was just gone, really grey and pale. They’d had to put him on oxygen, and he’d been needing it all day. We were all really anxious when we arrived, seeing how much trouble he was having.

He’s doing so much better now that he’s at the hospital, thankfully. It was really frightening. We just can’t seem to get ahead of this RSV with Jude. We were hospitalized with it three weeks ago, and now we’re back again. It looks like this will always be a vulnerable area for him.

I’m relieved I decided to stay here tonight. If I’d gone home and his condition worsened, it wouldn’t make any sense to keep going back and forth. Being here is the best place for me to be right now.

Charlotte posted a heartwarming video of her and Jude sharing buttered toast in the hospital, hoping to cheer him up while he recovers.

After a wonderful weekend, we had to make another unexpected trip to the hospital with my little one, Judey. We were actually here just three weeks ago!

It’s been a really scary morning and day with his RSV and breathing, but he’s recovering so quickly – he’s amazing! So grateful he’s doing better! ❤️

We’re enjoying some hospital toast in bed since we have to stay overnight. He’s been off oxygen for a few hours now, which is really encouraging, and we’re hoping he continues to improve. I love him so much! ❤️

In December Charlotte explained that Jude suffered a ‘horrible turn’ due to RSV bronchitis.

Charlotte shared on Instagram that Jude is recovering well, thankfully. He’s much better now, and it’s been a really tough time for everyone.

‘I think they are going to let him out. He’s been taken off the oxygen now.’

She explained that he’s having a really hard time with RSV, and she doesn’t think it will ever fully go away. Previously, he didn’t need oxygen during a hospital stay, but this time his oxygen levels were critically low.

He’s been having a wonderful time playing in the playroom, making the nurses laugh with his personality and playful spirit.

I’ve had a terrible week! I accidentally washed my phone, my car stopped working, my train was cancelled, and to top it off, Jude is in the hospital.

Charlotte and her partner, Matt Sarsfield, are parents to three children: Jude, age two, Noah, age five, and eight-month-old Gigi.

She previously shared that it had been a very difficult week, especially the last 24 hours. Her dog, Judey, became suddenly ill while she was in London, and she’s now with him at the hospital.

‘Thank god for daddy and grandad last night and today.

I cancelled all my plans in London and rushed back to my son, hoping he feels better tomorrow. I’ll take care of any work matters tomorrow.
