Steven Knight, the creator of Peaky Blinders, says he’s having a great time working on the next James Bond movie, and is really enjoying the early stages of production.
In August, it was revealed that Steven Knight, the creator of shows like SAS: Rogue Heroes and A Thousand Blows, would write the script for the 26th installment in the popular spy series. Highly respected director Denis Villeneuve is set to direct the film.
Despite not having a title or lead actor chosen yet, producer Barbara Broccoli recently told BBC Radio 4’s Today program that development on the next James Bond film is going very well.

He didn’t want to reveal details about his work on the Bond films, but said he was thoroughly enjoying the experience. He also spoke highly of Ian Fleming’s original Bond novels.
These books are fantastic, but I don’t think they get the recognition they deserve. The author created a world that feels incredibly real, despite being completely fictional – it’s almost like a dream. I especially love his writing style and how realistic the conversations between characters are.

I’m always focused on a specific outcome, and I have a clear vision for how things should proceed. I’m fortunate to be working with incredibly talented individuals, and the results will speak for themselves, so people will just have to wait and see what happens.
Whether Knight will make a movie directly based on one of Fleming’s books is still unknown. He hasn’t shared many details since taking the job, although he did give a brief update back in September.
When asked if the new movie would have the same tough, realistic feel as his previous work, he responded, “It’s too early to say. You really don’t know how a story will turn out until you begin writing it.”

He mentioned he wrote the screenplay without a specific actor in mind, which is fortunate since we still don’t know who will be the next James Bond. Callum Turner is currently the frontrunner according to bookmakers, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson is also a strong possibility.
Screenwriter Knight is currently working on the next James Bond movie. He recently attended the cinema premiere of Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, the first film in the Peaky Blinders series, which will be available on Netflix later this month.
The new Peaky Blinders film, ‘The Immortal Man,’ is currently showing in some cinemas and will be available to stream on Netflix starting March 20th.
The latest issue of Living Legends, a vibrant 100-page tribute to Harry Styles, is now available! You can find it at newsstands or purchase it online.
