Celeste Barber has spoken out about her breakup with Api Robin, her husband, just weeks after they announced their separation, which many found surprising.
The 43-year-old Australian comedian recently spoke out on Instagram, posting a video to promote a mascara from her makeup line, BOOIE.
As usual, the performer playfully announced she’d only be discussing mascara – and how amazing it is – for the rest of the segment.
She ended the short video by getting close to the camera and quietly saying, ‘Thank you for all your kind messages. I really appreciate it. Thank you.’

The new collaboration felt natural and perfect, according to BOOIE. The brand has always focused on quick, easy beauty – a little lip color, a touch of blush, sunglasses, and you’re ready to go! They shared this sentiment on social media, emphasizing their ‘get up and go’ approach.
Celeste didn’t mention her husband in her recent posts, which she shared a week after they announced their surprising separation.
Api reported that the couple had decided to divorce after two decades of marriage, just one day before Valentine’s Day.
We’ve been going through a really difficult and sad time lately,” a recent Instagram post read. The post was captioned ‘Heavy hearts’.

Although many were surprised by the couple’s divorce, looking back at old interviews and their social media activity shows hints that their marriage had been struggling for quite some time.
