The Cheltenham Festival began on Tuesday with a surprising sight: Luke ‘The Nuke’ Littler, known for his casual sports wear, dressed in a suit and tie.
He attended the four-day racing event with his stylish girlfriend, Faith Millar, and watched from the spectator stands.
Luke, 19, looked smart in a beige blazer which he teamed with a white shirt and a baby pink tie.
Nineteen-year-old Faith, who has been dating the World Masters champion for the past summer, wore an outfit that matched her partner’s.
The beautician looked stunning in a pink blazer with her blonde hair styled into neat curls.
The couple excitedly celebrated the start of the race, throwing their arms up and beaming widely.
On the first day of the event, Luke Humphries and Nathan Aspinall, his main competitors, joined him at the stage.
The excitement was palpable ahead of the first race which began just after 1pm.
Photos and videos from the event showed people drinking Moët champagne directly from the bottles, with others dancing and singing in the streets.
Festival attendees were happy to find that organizers kept their promise and lowered the price of a pint of Guinness to just £7.50 this year.
As the Daily Mail reported in September, ticket prices were lowered to encourage more people to attend the four-day racing event after attendance had dropped.
Prestbury Park welcomed 218,839 visitors in 2025, which was over 10,000 fewer than the approximately 230,000 who came the year before.
Last year’s Ladies Day, held on a Wednesday, had the smallest attendance in 25 years, with only 41,949 people attending.
Many racegoers pointed to rising costs as the reason fewer people attended Cheltenham, with a pint of Guinness expected to cost almost £8 (£7.80) in 2025.
Good news for beer fans! This year, a pint of Guinness at the Festival will cost £7.50 – that’s 30p cheaper than before. A half-pint will be £3.75, which is 15p less than last year’s price.
Drinks were more affordable, with 20p off each single serving of gin, vodka, and rum.
The races kicked off at 1:20pm with the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle, a highly anticipated event that often highlights promising young horses who go on to become stars.
The main event of the afternoon was the Champion Hurdle, a highly anticipated race featuring the top two-mile hurdlers competing for a major championship title.
