Short Circuit Studio, known for games like Teeny Tiny Trains and Townsfolk, is starting an early beta test for their new game, Hearthside. Hearthside is a medieval city-builder where you combine elements to create and grow your town, and it’s inspired by the style of Teeny Tiny Towns. The game will be available on both Android and iOS, and pre-registration is now open worldwide.
Get ready to enjoy endless merges and evolve your settlement
Hearthside is a relaxing game where you build and grow a medieval village. You start with just a few buildings and expand by placing tiles on the game board. Combining three or more of the same tiles lets you upgrade them into houses, important buildings, and bustling areas for your villagers.
Space is limited in the game, so each building placement is important and impacts your town’s future development. It’s really rewarding to see a quiet village transform into a bustling town through careful planning and combining buildings. I also appreciate that the game gets more challenging as your village grows.
The game seems really enjoyable, boasting features like an endless mode, helpful power-ups, a charming medieval art style, and calming background music. It also offers dynamic building, different board sizes for strategic gameplay, plus leaderboards and achievements. Given the developer’s track record of creating fun games, I’m excited and hoping to be selected for the beta test so I can give it a try.
Hearthside is starting a beta test soon on Android and iOS, and you can sign up now using this link. You can also pre-register on the Google Play Store or App Store. The game is currently scheduled to launch on April 6th, according to the App Store.
