Did you tune into ITV1 today hoping to watch Loose Women? If so, you might have been surprised! The show is currently off the air, and here’s the information you need.
The show announced on Friday, March 6th, that it will be taking a month-long break. Host Kaye Adams jokingly told Jayne Moore she was getting emotional about the temporary pause.
She acknowledged it was an emotional moment, noting it was the last episode of Loose Women for a few weeks (according to Express). The show will return next month, and she wished viewers a wonderful weekend and Easter, saying they’d see everyone soon.

The show isn’t on this week because the broadcaster is covering the 2026 Cheltenham Festival. However, the longer break is a result of overall changes ITV made last year.
The broadcaster announced changes to its TV schedule in May, impacting programs like Lorraine, This Morning, and Good Morning Britain.

For Loose Women, the show returned to its regular daytime time slot of 12:30pm to 1:30pm, broadcasting for 30 weeks throughout the year. Kevin Lygo, head of ITV’s Media and Entertainment, explained the changes.
I understand that our plans will affect the staff behind the scenes in our Daytime production teams. We’ll be working with ITV Studios and ITN as they adjust how the shows are made next year, and we’ll support them during this change.

For over 40 years, daytime television has been a key part of ITV’s programming. These changes will ensure ITV continues to deliver award-winning news, opinions, and discussions for decades to come, as we begin our eighth decade of broadcasting.
So, it looks like ITV is taking a bit of a break from its usual daytime lineup! Not only is Loose Women off the air for a while, but Lorraine is taking a hiatus too. Christine Lampard announced it on the show yesterday, saying we’ll be able to watch it again in a few weeks. Basically, a little downtime for everyone before things get back to normal!
Loose Women airs on weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
