Tom Cruise joined other major stars at the 53rd Annual Saturn Awards, which took place Sunday at the Universal Hilton in Los Angeles.
The 63-year-old actor chatted with several stars at the event, including nominees Elle Fanning, 27, and Rhea Seehorn, 53.
Tom Cruise, known for the Mission: Impossible films, is said to have played a role in preventing Netflix from buying Warner Bros, wanting to support movie theaters. He wore a navy suit with a white shirt to the event.
He gave the Visionary Award to Christopher McQuarrie, the acclaimed director behind the last four Mission: Impossible movies, including an Oscar winner.
Tom Cruise beamed as he posed with Fanning, who looked stylish in a white blazer, black bralette, and skirt.
The Saturn Awards celebrate outstanding achievements in science fiction, fantasy, and horror movies and TV shows. Dakota Fanning received the award for Best Actress in a Film for her performance in the 2025 science fiction movie, Predator: Badlands.
She wore her blonde hair in a ponytail and had a natural look with just a little makeup.
When she received her award, she playfully remarked that being cast in a Predator movie was completely unexpected. She never imagined she’d be associated with such a famous film series.
Tom Cruise was also photographed with Morena Baccarin, who looked striking in a black leather dress that showed off her fit arms.
Her blonde hair was styled into a chic bob, and she accessorized her look with gold star earrings.
She paired the dress with dark nail polish and an ornate gold ring.
Seehorn was nominated for Best Actress in a Television Series for her role in Pluribus.
Cruise was later seen embracing Frankenstein director Guillermo del Toro inside.
Denise Richards, age 55, was also at the event. She wore a bright yellow mini dress with one shoulder exposed, showing off her legs.
She added height to her look with gold heels and carried a turquoise clutch.
She was joined by former Starship Troopers co-star and boyfriend Patrick Muldoon, 57.
Like Cruise, Muldoon also opted for a navy suit.
Ryan Coogler’s Sinners, James Cameron’s Avatar: Fire and Ash, and Marvel’s The Fantastic Four: First Steps received the most nominations in the main competition categories.
Meanwhile Star Wars creator George Lucas was honored with the Dr. Donald A. Reed Founder’s Award.
I was so thrilled to see Terry Matalas honored with the Robert Forster Artist’s Award! Paul Bettany presented it to him, which was a really special moment. It’s always wonderful to celebrate incredible talent in the industry.
James Cameron and producer Gale Anne Hurd received the George Pal Memorial Award, celebrating the 40th anniversary of the film Aliens.
Star Trek was honored with a Saturn Hall of Fame Award, celebrating its lasting impact on popular culture and its influence across generations.
Titus Welliver was honored with the Lance Reddick Legacy Award.
The award ‘celebrates performers who serve as true goodwill ambassadors in the industry.’
Welliver co-starred with Reddick in Bosch.
Meanwhile Prime Video’s The Boys was honored with the Spotlight Award.
Joel McHale returned as host this year.
Okay, so listen, the Saturn Awards? They’re everything. Seriously! They started way back in 1972, and what I love is that they’re the only awards that completely focus on the genres I live for – sci-fi, fantasy, horror, superheroes, all that awesome stuff! No other awards really get it like the Saturns do, they truly celebrate the stories I’m obsessed with.
