School Spirits Season 4 Gets First Official Plot Details From Kristian Ventura: ‘Even More Body Swaps’ (Exclusive)

As a huge fan of School Spirits, I was definitely left wanting more after Season 3! It feels like they’ve set things up perfectly for another season, even though it hasn’t been officially renewed yet. Starring Peyton List and Milo Manheim, the show has a lot more story to tell, and I’m really hoping we get to see what happens with Maddie next!

The third season ended on a surprisingly positive note for several characters. Both Maddie and Simon survived and have returned to their lives in their original bodies. As far as anyone knows, there are no immediate dangers, and the ghosts are enjoying a new sense of liberation.

Okay, so things just got really interesting. The line between the living and the dead is blurring, and to top it all off, the villain, Mr. Van Heidt, has somehow possessed Maddie’s mom! Honestly, after that twist, I’m completely hooked – there’s clearly a lot more story to unfold and I can’t wait to see where it goes.

I was so excited to hear Kristian Ventura, who plays Simon in School Spirits, talk to Russ Milheim over at TopMob! He actually gave us the very first hints about what Season 4 could be like – it’s getting me even more hyped for what’s to come!

First School Spirits Season 4 Details Revealed

Beware of Body Swaps.

  • TopMob: “Hypothetically, have you discussed with anyone what a Season 4 is and if it’s going to happen? And then, on a hypothetical level, what do you want to see from Simon in Season 4?”

Kristian Ventura says he doesn’t know much about the story for the fourth movie, but he’s heard rumors that it might involve even more intense and risky body-swapping scenarios. He thinks this could create a lot of suspense.

Moving into a potential fourth season, I’d really like to see Simon’s love story become clearer and more developed. When you strip away all the excitement around ‘School Spirits’ and look back at the series from the beginning, his romance feels a bit like an underdeveloped subplot. Ultimately, I believe it’s crucial to stay true to the writer’s original vision, even if it means not always giving fans exactly what they want. While pleasing the audience is important, focusing on a solid, well-written storyline will hold up much better over time.

What Will School Spirits Season 4 Look Like?

It’s not shocking to see more body swapping happening, considering Alfred Van Heidt is still out there. He’s currently inhabiting Maddie’s mother, and it seems he’s changing how body swapping even works. A fourth season would likely need to explore these new rules.

It’s strange that we haven’t seen Dr. Hunter Price, and Van Heidt’s ability to switch bodies is really unusual. It doesn’t seem to work like the body-swapping we first saw with Janet back in Season 2.

As a huge fan, I’m really excited about where Season 4 could take things. I think exploring the idea of the boundaries between the afterlife and our world crumbling is a brilliant path. The fact that the ghosts at Split River High now have so much freedom – being able to go wherever they please – just opens up endless storytelling possibilities, and I can’t wait to see what they do with it!

And then there are the Ley Lines, plus this afterlife isn’t quite the paradise people imagined. It’s possible this scary forest Wally and his friends are trapped in is just one stage of what happens after death, with even more to come after that.
