I’m so excited! They’ve announced the cast for season two of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, the Game of Thrones prequel. It’s awesome that it’s been renewed and we’ll get to see more next year!
The series is inspired by George R.R. Martin’s Tales of Dunk and Egg and follows the adventures of a young knight, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his assistant, Egg.
The two unlikely companions set off on a dangerous adventure across Westeros, becoming close friends along the way.

The story takes place during the reign of the Targaryen dynasty, when dragons are still a recent memory. It follows a group of unlikely friends as they face great challenges, powerful enemies, and dangerous adventures.
The first season of the show is based on the first book in the Dunk and Egg series, called The Hedge Knight. Future seasons will draw inspiration from the rest of the published books, including The Sworn Sword and The Mystery Knight.
What to Read Next
Peter Claffey and Dexter Sol Ansell will return as their characters for the second season. Joining them will be Lucy Boynton, known from Bohemian Rhapsody, Babou Ceesay from Alien: Earth, and Peter Mullan of Ozark. Boynton will play Lady Rohanne, Ceesay will be Ser Bennis, and Mullan will portray Ser Eustace Osgrey.
The new series, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, launched in January and has received very positive reviews, earning a 94% rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 89 critic reviews. Digital Spy gave the show four stars, highlighting its more humorous and lighthearted style compared to previous installments.

The most shocking and uncomfortable scenes are still vital to the story – like a Targaryen’s silver hair – but they mostly happen later in the show, and that’s actually a good thing. It allows the series to develop its own unique feel.
The series has taken a welcome turn in tone, which helps offset its initially slow start as the story develops. Dunc and Egg are engaging characters who ultimately make even the slower parts worthwhile.
You can watch A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms on Sky Atlantic and Now in the UK, and on HBO and HBO Max in the US.
The latest issue of Living Legends, a vibrant, full-colour 100-page magazine dedicated to Harry Styles, is now available! You can find it at newsstands or purchase it online.
