Katie Price’s ex JJ Slater is ‘blindsided’ by her engagement to mystery man weeks after they split and has flown to Miami with family to ‘heal his broken heart’

Katie Price’s former partner, JJ Slater, was shocked to learn of her sudden engagement to an unnamed man, especially so soon after their breakup.

Despite facing financial difficulties and being declared bankrupt earlier this year, 46-year-old Katie Price jetted off to Dubai with her new boyfriend for a luxurious vacation on Wednesday.

The holiday got off to an exciting start when Katie announced her engagement – for the ninth time! She shared a peek of her new partner and a photo of her large diamond ring on Friday.

According to sources at Daily Mail, the announcement was a complete surprise to JJ, 32, who is currently in Miami with his family and recovering from a difficult heartbreak.

Last week, the Daily Mail reported that Katie broke up with her partner from MAFS UK because she didn’t believe they had a long-term future together.

Sources close to the couple report that their relationship had clearly been struggling for months, even though Katie publicly maintained everything was fine.

JJ and Katie started dating in February 2024, shortly after JJ became well-known from the reality show Married at First Sight UK. They even discussed the possibility of having a baby – Katie’s sixth child – but ultimately decided to go their separate ways.

I’ve heard through the grapevine that Katie’s been questioning whether JJ is really ‘the one’ for a while now. She was hoping those feelings would pass, but apparently, they haven’t gone away.

Instead, she became increasingly worried and now realizes she won’t be getting married for a fourth time in this relationship.

‘JJ was left disappointed and has already packed his bags and moved back to his home in Essex.

‘He genuinely saw a future with Katie, but it seems she ultimately had a very different outlook.’ 

The Daily Mail contacted Katie and JJ’s representatives for comment at the time. 

Katie recently addressed her breakup by posting a mysterious message about finding the perfect match.

She shared some poems and quotes about soulmates and relationships on her Instagram Story.

Someone else shared a post about how to identify your soulmate and the special signs you might see when you meet them.

Katie finished by sharing a quote: ‘My mom always says you’ll find true love when you meet a man who’s your perfect match.’

JJ recently shared on Instagram that he’s been working out at the gym since his breakup with the model, and has already lost weight.

After his breakup with Katie, JJ shared with his fans that he’d lost six pounds by working with an online coach.

He shared a video on his Stories explaining that about ten days prior, he’d started working with Kieran at Konditioning Coaching.

‘He’s an online coach. I’ve never had one before but I thought that I’d give it a go.

It’s been ten days, and I’ve already lost 2.8 kilograms, which is fantastic! He really keeps me on track by managing my diet, planning my workouts, and ensuring I get enough exercise like walking and cardio.

‘And if I’m not doing it he’ll call me up and be like ”J what are you doing.”’
